Update: I went back to my local McDonald's on 11th February and this time, the experience was much improved. Despite the busy atmosphere, the food arrived quickly, and I was glad to see that my fries were made correctly without salt (important!) and that they were hot and delicious. The chicken grilled mayo wrap I had was juicy and tasty as well.
Additionally, a server at the till helped me fix a payment issue by taking over my order and payment at the till, as I was unable to pay via the McDonald's app due to network issues.
Overall, I was fairly satisfied with my recent visit and will wait to see if the improvements continue before further updating my review.
Previous: I've been going to my local McDonald's for a while now and overall, I have to say I'm pretty happy with the experience.
The place is usually clean and there's a good focus on hygiene inside. However, on two separate occasions, I've spotted rats outside which I don't like at all. It's a real shame because otherwise, I'd have no complaints.
The food is always served very quickly and it's hot and tasty. I do have one issue though – half the time when I order my chips without salt, I still get salt in them. I hate salty food so it's a bit of a problem for me. If it wasn't for that and the rat problem, I'd give my local McDonald's 5 stars. I love the place but I think it could do with a few improvements. Happy to amend my review...
Read moreGenuinely the worst McDonald's restaurant in the UK, the food is always sub par and cold by the time it arrives, be that via delivery or by the time you've waited longer than it would have taken to order your food inside when sat in the drive thru. The staff aren't coordinated and stand around talking rather than serve, that's if they even get your order right in the first place. The general atmosphere is depressing and none of the staff serve with a smile. After years of constant negative experiences at this particular location I have decided it would be more beneficial to try and eat a frozen burger fresh from my freezer as the food poisoning and hell that my body would go through would be an infinitely more pleasurable experience than having to ever eat or make any kind of order at this location again in my life. I've pushed excrement out of my own rear end with more personality, life and edible material in it than this restaurant has ever produced out of its staff, service or what can only be described as barely edible products a lot more times than this sorry excuse for a McDonald's location can say it's ever had a positive impact on anyone's life in...
Read moreI had a problem with my order, they gave me the wrong burger. Slight inconvenience as I'd got it from the drive-thru and only noticed once I'd driven away. I returned and went into McDonald's to explain. The staff were polite and professional, rectifying the error immediately. Other customers in the venue all seemed to have attitude problems with the staff and eachother. Like most people that travel, I've been in a fair few McDonald's around the world. It's McDonald's, you kind of know what to expect, but I have never experienced rudeness from customers towards staff before (and I've been to the McDonald's on Dalston!). In terms of the food quality, hands down the nicest McDonald's fries I've ever had. They were hot and crispy, unlike the lukewarm limp fries other McDonald's serve up. Burger (the replacement) was well presented and also hot. Would I eat here again? Yes, but I won't be getting out of the car the next time. Quality customer service. Shocking behaviour from...
