We recently ordered from rustic on Deliveroo as we have eaten there before and enjoyed their food!
When our food arrived one of the items was wrong so we called them to tell them that we recieved a wrong item. The item in question was kids chicken shish but we received a grilled chicken leg instead.
When we told them on the phone they told us that we didn’t order the right item and they sent us what we had ordered. They said we ordered grilled chicken. So we checked our receipt and no, we had definitely ordered chicken shish. They then continued to patronise us and tell us “if you wanted chicken shish then you should have ordered that. We sent you what you ordered. You should check more carefully before you order” we continued to try to explain that we actually had ordered the correct item and there must be an issue with their system and they started raising their voices at us on the phone and telling us we were wrong. I even said to them, I can show you the receipt just to prove we aren’t lying. And they continued to argue and 2 separate members of staff told us that we were wrong and kept telling us we should have ordered chicken shish. At this point I was so frustrated because they were telling us we were lying and not even allowing us to show them our proof. Finally I sent them the photo of the receipt on Facebook and said please just go and look at it because you’re accusing me of lying. They then told us that they would pass it on to a manager. But they held their ground and said we were in the wrong. We were spoken to so disrespectfully and I’m appalled. I’ve never been spoken to like that by someone in customer service before and it’s a shame because it really lets them down because they have good food. I previously have recommended this restaurant but would no longer recommend to anyone as they were blatantly disrespectful. They also said they would get the manager to call us the next day and we have never heard anything back. Very disappointing and extremely unprofessional. I have attached a photo of what we received and our receipt. You can clearly see we ordered a kids chicken shish. I understand that orders can be wrong sometimes that why I called to get it corrected but I’ve never been so disrespected before as a customer....
Read moreJust what Spalding needs, an extremely clean, extremely good customer service and most. Importantly amazing food. The ribeye 🥩 was so fresh and tasty. The desserts - well if I were you I'd be seeing or more like tasting for myself.
You will not regret a meal at Rustic, best restaurant we have been to for an extremely long time.
Meal 2 Table of 11 (Some fussy eaters and allergies) ALL the food came out bang on the same time!
ALL orders were spot on catering for a very fussy eater and 99% of the time sends food back)
EVERYTHING was AS REQUESTED and a very indecisive drinks order was also CORRECT.
This rarely happens in a restaurant with my family for a seating of 11 people infact I don't recall the last time it happened.
Food tasted perfect, the medium Ribeye was just mouthwatering with an amazing char grilled like flavour making it taste cooked in a flame 🔥 delicious doesn't do it justice.
All in all every one of us left there enjoying the atmosphere, the amazing table service, polite very friendly people who can definitely cook and know how a restaurant should be run.
We need to make sure this Gem of a Restaurant stays open and honestly after you taste the food you can tell it's been made by a passionate chef who really loves his food.
Please support this restaurant and not because it's a small business but because it is genuinely amazing, the service, the food-its all just...
Read moreWe decided to give Rustic a try after work (about 6pm). The restaurant was't busy. For a 'rustic' restaurant there was little 'rustic' atmosphere. I would have defined rustic as natural and an 'element of the countryside'. Clearly a lot of time and money has been put into this new establishment but loud music and bright lights don't equate to rustic in my book. Nowhere in the advertising literature or social media site does it say this is a DRY restaurant. They do not sell beer or wine. While I respect the convictions of the owner I think it's only fair to declare this before customers take the time to choose and order their meal. That aside we ordered some soft drinks and another waitress came to take our food order. Several minutes after taking the order she returned to advise us there was nothing available on the main menu. Nothing at all! With the restaurant being less than 100 meters from three major supermarkets there is surely no excuse for running out of ingredients. So, in summary, no food and no drink. Completely bizarre! I understand this is the first week of opening and there will undoubtedly be teething problems, but come on, at least tell your customers when they walk in the door you have nothing to offer. I would usually encourage new business to town but in this case I...
