The Old Bank Grantham — Restaurant in South Kesteven

2 occasions I’ve had a bad experience in the last week. Firstly the other night it was 8pm , I came to the old bank just to EAT , in which I was turned away at the door for not having any ID even tho I stated I only wanted food and the 2 other people with me were way way over 18 and both provided ids. The place was also empty which I wasn’t surprised when they are literally turning people away. 2nd time was today, old bank don’t do very nice coffee, so I purchased a coffee from Costa and went in to the the old bank for food. Again not one person in sight. Got to the bar to order food and was told I had to leave because I had a product that wasn’t theirs being my coffee. I said to the lady are u being serious, I’m purchasing food and she said no sorry you have to leave so again I was kicked out and again they had not one customer. Why on earth would you turn a customer away all for the sakes because I had a coffee in my hand , it’s disgusting, I’m seriously not surprised that they were completely empty. That is the last time I will be going into the old bank. I have been a customer with you for years but enough is enough I will not give my money to a company that is utterly...

After reading some good reviews thought we'd try this place. Arrived about 7:30pm on Saturday. Not many people in. Went to the bar, no Moretti beer, ok no problem. We were a group of four. Two wanted fish, chips and mushy peas, no mushy peas. We ordered straight after. Fish & chips came first, frozen chips and very skinny fish. All batter, hardly any fish inside. Certainly not work £9. We then waited for about 20 mins. Finally went the bar to say the couple were with had finished their dinner but ours still hadn't arrived. Staff apologised and said the catering staff were being slow tonight. Another 5 mins and our food finally arrived. Ordered pie and chips. Pie was mediocre to say the least (looked like a frozen one from a pack of 4 at Aldi), skinny frozen chips! Very underwhelming. If it was busy, we would have understood the wait but literally we were the only ones eating. Been to this place twice. First time I ordered food which came out cold and under cooked. 2nd time I went in I was served by Leannne who double charged me for my mixers on my spirit mixer and served me a hendricks when I asked for a Gordon's. After asking for a receipt I explained that I had been served the wrong drink and was told by the very aggressive and unfriendly leanne that I she wouldn't change the drink, after being disgusted with the service I received I said I'll just take a refund and leave, they can have the drinks back. Leanne refused to give a refund or exchange the drink, she was very aggressive towards me and when I asked for her managers name she refused to give it me and walked off out of the pub mid conversation. 2nd and last time I ever use this place. Strongly recommend against using this place, the level of service is the worst I've ever seen in any pub...
