The food was *** FANTASTIC*** however I was a little surprised my Chicken Madras had very little heat for such a known fiery dish, however the chicken was tender and the sauce was very moreish to say the least ! All my accompanying dishes (chips, rice, and plain naan bread) were all above average with the naan being my favourite. The only minor criticism(s) I have (and I’m aware it was a Saturday night) is that it felt like we were all packed in like Sardines and the service could have been a lot more attentive i.e no upselling was done (our table could have been given more opportunities to purchase additional drinks, but we were never asked except at the start of the evening) I would definitely visit again though, if just for the food alone - Thank you

Would definitely come for a quiet couples Indian again! We live walking distance so decided to celebrate an anniversary. We used the website to book a table 6pm on a Saturday. Surprisingly I’d say about 3 other tables out of the 20 available had people on but it wasn’t too quiet. We were served very promptly and this excellent service continued throughout. The food was very good. We ordered our usual chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, sag aloo and onion bhaji. Outstanding chicken tikka masala and rice. The sag aloo was tasty but usually the potatoes and spinach are served separately. The onion bhaji was slightly doughy in the middle but this didn’t stop us from eating it. I would definitely come again.

We came for lunch for our wedding anniversary, and it was fabulous. The server was really professional and efficient, not too intrusive, even though we were the only diners, but incredibly helpful when needed. The quality of the food was impeccable, and really tasty too. We shared dishes so we each chose a main dish we specifically wanted. I love a good curry but am not usually all that enthusiastic about tandoori and tikka dishes, but the tandoori mixed grill (my husband's choice) was so well executed I will definitely have it again. The next time can't come round soon enough.

Had a very filling dinner here last night with a couple of friends. Last time I was here was before the first covid lockdown. Staff very friendly and attentive. To much food to finish as so full up. We did have some entertainment from some rude patrons behind us though. One middle aged rather rotund lady kept shouting out anybody got any leftovers. We didn't realise what she was on about but it appeared she was rather displeased with a 45 min wait for the main. During the wait that table had consumed 2 bottles of wine and starters so 45 min from start to main is not long. The what we thought was banter started to get louder and the manager stepped in and asked them to leave. They were not charged for anything and one of the party apologised for the others actions. The restaurant dealt with this as they should of and the rest of us cheered as they got booted out. Middle aged rotund persons should look at themselves first...

Great little well established Indian restaurant, that has been present in the town for decades. Ate here three times this week, which in itself denotes how good it is. Tarka dall is spot on, one of the best; consistent as had every night. Chicken dupiaza, chicken tikka korma, tava murgh masala, lamb tikka masala all excellent, with the tava being highly recommended. Only slight let downs, and this may be more down to personal preference; tandoori chicken masala and chicken tikka Kashmir, were both quite watery and less creamy than I am used to? Both still tasty though. Only thing missing from the menu was Old Delhi Butter chicken.

However, upside is meats were all excellent, and the waiters on hand were consistently, across all three nights, all excellent, and all attentive. Highly recommended, especially...
