I've been to Black Goo a few times now and I've always thoroughly enjoyed the food and my time there. The staff are very friendly, caring and attentive. They are careful to check for allergies and intolerances. Today they went the extra mile when we ordered cake to check if it was for a gluten free family member. We had half goo cooked breakfasts which were delicious. My latte and tea was lovely too... we loved the sweet little house tea pot! The selection of cakes is great and they quite magnificent! They offer a great variety and they are absolutely huge - great to share or take home in a box for later or to share with the family! I would highly recommend this lovely cafe - but, a bit of advice, if you're planning on having cake, do allow enough time to browse the selection as it could take a while to decide!

**Review for Black Goo Thame** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, Black Goo Thame is a must-visit! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. The food is simply amazing, with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Pair your meal with a refreshing glass of Prosecco, and you've got a winning combination. The overall vibe of the place is lovely, creating a perfect backdrop for enjoying good food and great company. Highly recommend stopping by for a fantastic culinary experience!

Lovely, attractive cafe that is well-equipped to maintain social distancing with nicely decorated perspex screens between tables. Their afternoon tea was simply sensational. I have never been beaten by an afternoon tea, but this one was so enormous that I had to take some bits home. The sausage rolls and scotch eggs were really delicious and there was an abundance of lovely sandwiches that were quite different to a regular afternoon tea (coronation chicken, falafel...). The cakes were lovely and scones were as big as your face! The staff were very attentive and made sure we could get the most out of bottomless experience. They were in no hurry to get rid of us either! Highly recommended

We had a table booked and specifically said on the booking we would be having food, we was put onto a table that was not adequate to be eating food from as it was a coffee table. When sitting down we was not asked about drinks, we gavr it a few moments then asked about switching tables as eating food woukd not have been comfortable and we was told no other tables was available and that it was the booking systems fault as to why we ended up on that table (we was still not asked if we would like any drinks), we waited about 10 minutes before our order was taken in the end, the person who took our order seemed liked he didnt even want to be there and very mono tone. After we got our food and struggled to eat we asked if we could move to a table next to us that was a proper table to eat from and have it cleaned, this seems like a massive effort for the staff to sort but didnt clean it and allow us to sit there. The food was ok but definitely not worth the price being asked in my opinion, 2 of us got the full goo breakfast and it seemed standard, the sausages was undercooked, bacon had fat on it that could have been crispy and cooked better and was just average, ive had a better breakfast and paid less from a local cafe. We didnt feel we could say anything about the food after the service we had already received. 2 of the coffee's ordered were also not up to scratch with them not even being finished because they tasted funny like the milk was off or or the machine had not been cleaned properly.

All in all it wasnt the best visit, over priced, below average service and below...

If I could give a minus 5 star rating, then my experience yesterday would have been it! I have been going to this cafe since opened, and before that Rococo from day one.

I have always enjoyed the experience, the food and my interaction with staff to the point of which friendships have been made.

Yesterday however, I merely walked into make an order, one person was stood at the till collecting an order, and I was instantly barked at 1 at a time and essentially get out!

The lady exited, and I entered, I said my salutations and was instantaneously further barked at, this time was why don't I have a mask?!

This is actually offensive and not acceptable. Even according to government guidelines totally unacceptable.

I explained in brief that I don't need to wear one, and then again barked at, simply stating she refused to serve me unless I wore one !!

I was shocked at her attitude, as never have I been treated like this EVER in this cafe.

I have asthma, yet not even given a chance to explain this, not that I legally have to.

I was actually taken aback by this member of staff, as moments before I was outside chatting to the lovely Holly of whom I have great a raport with

The, and I struggle with the term lady here, had dark curly hair. I would remove her from her position if you wish to carry on this business, as we are all struggling with current economic times and this attitude will not enamour current let alone new clientele.

A very disappointed long...

I’m so disappointed by my visit and will never come back again. My husband was attracted by the cakes on display so we decided to give it a try. First the service is a nightmare and so unprofessional. The staff didn’t care about taking care of customers and only about gossiping with friends. They didn’t know the menu and were surprised by my order which was clearly on the menu. Then one member of the staff even had to ask her colleague if matcha and macchiato were the same thing… That would be fine if the rest of the experience wasn’t bad. My iced matcha was really bad with clumps of matcha, tons of ice cubes and a watery taste. My Husband’s coffee was okay. However he ordered a slice of cake which never arrived. Instead I saw the waitress giving the last piece of cake of the counter (which we ordered) at someone else who arrived minutes after us. We were disappointed at this point and decided to have our drinks and left. They even requested us to pay for the slice we never had but he explained it to them and finally left. We paid £9.80 for one flat white and an iced matcha which is too expensive for the quality. In the end I’m glad they never brought the cake. Also service was slow and it was very...
