Lovely little cafe. Lemon drizzle cake was banging! Highly recommended. Young girls serving were all so friendly and accommodating. I visited with my elderly nan and 3-year-old son. My son only wanted TOAST and butter, and they brought this out 1st on request as he was struggling to wait. He was pleased they stocked fruit shoots, too. Nice cild cans of fizzy drink in the fridge, which made a change in a cafe. My nan enjoyed her pot of tea. We had 2x jacket potatoes with beans, cheese, coleslaw and salad and was all really fresh and huge portion. Crispy perfect spud, too! They have a nice specials menu also. We all used the loo, which was nice and big and clean. I paid in cash also which is a refreshing change these days. WiFi available, no password. The only thing ruining the atmosphere for me was the awful perspex dividers between neighbouring tables, an unnecessary awful reminder of 2020. So ugly! Overall, great cafe.

Very nice café in central Thame. There were plenty of people and the food was great. My only suggestion was that the tuna mayo wrap I had was a little plain, maybe it could have been livened up a bit with some red onion etc, but that's just me! The ploughman's sandwich also looked good. I'll come back to try the hot menu! Good atmosphere, location and prices.

After walking around the town Treacles attracted us in for some lunch. The staff were so lovely, friendly & made us feel very welcome. The food was fantastic, we both had that days specials & the food was cooked to perfection, you can tell how good a place is by the way the veg is cooked. Side salads were top notch! We'll be back when we are in the area.

Disappointed with the Lack of Vegan Options

I have been a frequent visitor to this restaurant for quite some time now, and I must say that I am deeply disappointed with the recent changes in their menu. The restaurant used to be amazing, and my experiences here have always been delightful. The food was exceptional, and they used to offer a wide range of vegan options that catered to my dietary preferences. However, my recent visit left me feeling unsatisfied and let down.

Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I was disheartened to discover that the number of vegan options had significantly decreased. As a vegan, I believe it is important for restaurants to adapt and cater to the growing demand for plant-based options. Many establishments have successfully embraced this trend and have managed to create diverse and enticing vegan menus. It is disheartening to see a restaurant that I once admired for its inclusivity and culinary excellence fall short in this aspect.

I sincerely hope that the management of this restaurant takes my feedback into consideration. I understand that menus may change over time, but it is crucial to maintain a balance and cater to the needs of all customers. I urge them to revisit their menu and reintroduce a wider range of vegan options, as they have done in the past. This would not only please loyal customers like myself but also attract new patrons who are seeking plant-based...

Has really gone downhill of late sadly, bitterly cold, so much so the staff are in hats which is not a good look! Take away prices the same as eat in (only eatery in Thame that doesn't have a take away price) and although the food is tasty and well presented, it is now over priced. Everyone is suffering from increased pricing, including your customers and sadly we won't be back any time soon. Portions always used to be generous, now incredibly measly as someone else has stated. Very sad to see and I hope you listen to feedback so...
