Attended yesterday after a lovely dog walk around the farm with my wife and our daughter.....and what i can only deacribe as a debacle from start to finish at this cafe....it was slighlty busy, but nothing more than any other cafe i have been in.......Poor service, poor attitude, 30min wait for 3 hot drinks and cake already pre sliced....another lady waited 30mins for coffees also and complained with me ...poor attitude from the older male staff member making coffees (tall, fair hair)....we had also ordered one tea cake, which came out after we had finished me and my daughter had finished our drinks/cake and so my wife was sat around a while after waiting....after first enquiring where it was, it came out burnt, cold and some missing with no jam we paid for......my wife then went inside to ask for a refund but then came back after a few minute's wanting to leave as she said the staff member had been arrogant and rude to her.....I went to enquire about this and get a refund for that specific item only, the attitude and comms were "well were very busy" "there are only 3 of us" "I don't know how to give refunds"....another customer next me even whispered "they dont know what there doing" as she had been present when my wife initially went in too complai.....so i then had to intervene and enquiry as to why we couldnt receive a refund for service we had paid for but not received....a bit of advice, it's a business, a cafe specifically....if you cant manage the work load, then prioritise, limit numbers, make sure your staff know what there doing, if items of food are sent out burnt cold and look like freddie kruger has sliced it, own up smile, expect a complaint and help the customer rather than role your eyes and smile between yourselves after being accused of being rude ...dont argue back, giving a rude and give poor attitude when your in the wrong and especially to a women is disgusting and ypu should be ashamed......many husbands don't take kindly to there wife being spoken poorly too

Very disappointing end to a lovely walk .....Farms lovely tho and Alan the Alpacas a...

Initially a little difficult to find as the Google pin was over the road (now edited). Overall a pleasant experience.

I went on a Monday about midday and had a little difficulty parking my motorcycle as the cafe was busy. I found a spot on the driveway a short walk away.

The cafe is fully accessible with three disabled parking spaces, ramp up to the terrace and a wide entrance door.

Even though it was busy there were a couple of free tables. The sign said “table service “, but after a bit of a wait I asked at the till. The lady was very helpful and sorted out my order (flat white and lemon drizzle cake) in short order kindly giving me an extra cake as I’d waited.

Both coffee and cake were delicious and well presented with proper crockery and cutlery.

The cafe is obviously popular with locals and is somewhere they all get together. The atmosphere was quite lively and they have music playing too.

Some people were using laptops to work on so obviously suited for that, however I found the mobile data a bit slow on my phone.

Customer toilets are available in the adjacent building including a disabled toilet.

Additionally there’s a farm shop and a small herd of llamas in the field across from the...

This is a nice place and very good for parents of young children. Some feedback. When you enter the cafe, signs say to sit down for table service. But the farm shop goods are scattered around the cafe area in different locations. If you want to browse them it means standing right next to where other customers are eating at their tables, which they may not want. It would be easier for people interested in the farm shop goods if they were all in the same corner away from anyone's table then it is easier to browse without disturbing anyone else. Another improvement would be if they have menus of their drinks and cakes at the tables, because there isn't and they ask you to come up to the counter to decide, which defeats the object of table service. Sugar and sweetener for hot drinks is never on the table and you have to always ask for it, it isn't offered. That's my experience from two visits. Being able to walk around the farm and see the animals is what makes this location worthwhile and I think they have some good plans...

Great idea, needs some work though. We arrived just after lunch and saw the kiosk and cafe were open (sign said closing at 5), so we decided to walk first. The walk is nice for little legs, lots of alpacas, horses, damsel flies and birds around the lake. There was some junk around the buildings but assuming the new owners haven't got round to clearing yet. Got back to the cafe just after 3 and saw some amazing things on the menu, however when we tried to order we were told the kitchen was closed? The kiosk had also shut up? It was a Saturday so really surprised they had shut early. We had to make do with the last 3 slices of cake between the five of us which was disappointing, but they were very tasty to be fair. A bit of work and this could be a great destination for local families.
