Disgusting, arrogant behaviour from what I assume is the owner. My two friends and I were scolded for sitting at a booth (which is apparently a 4 seater) instead of a three seater booth. When we came in we decided to sit at a booth, the 4 seater booth was occupied by the owner having a beer so we resorted to the 3 seater. My friend sat in the tight one seater opposite me and my friend, and after we ordered we decided to move to the 4 seater booth so we could be more comfortable and not as squashed. Upon getting up, the owner rudely scolded us and said that there’s three of us and we cannot sit at the four seater booth. My friend and I have been coming to this cafe for the past couple years and we always sit at the 4 seater booth and there weren’t any issues then. We kindly explained to him that the 3 seater booth is a bit uncomfortable as our friend is squished in a corner, he cut us off and snatched the pillow from behind my friends back so “she could have more room”. This was very uncalled for and disrespectful towards my friend. This ruined our experience, and we felt awkward to even continue eating there as he kept glancing over every two seconds. Please note it was not busy (see attached photo) and if we needed to give up the booth for a party of 4, we happily would. This is nothing against the girls behind the counter, they were absolutely lovely, it’s simply one rude old man that unnecessarily ruined our whole experience. As an Assistant Manager of a cafe, this could have definitely been handled differently in a kinder more welcoming way that would not affect the experience of loyal customers.

2 very contrasting visits - arrived just too late (was 3 ish) on Monday afternoon to grab some hot food so decided to try again the following day. So glad we did as this was some of the best coffee (more specifically) flat whites I have had in a while now. They were beautifully prepared. When you see the coffee bubbling through the milk on flat whites you know it’s going to be decent and this brought me back to my days in Australia/NZ where this quality of preparation of flat whites was common place (strength wise). Not only this - the white chocolate pistachio and raspberry cookie was divine!!! So tasty. Hopefully be back to try some hot food soon.

Really yummy and cute cafe in Henley. It was a bit busy when we went at 12:30pm on a Thursday but managed to get probably the last free table as we were walking in. You order at the counter and the portions sizes are quite large, especially considering the quantity of avo and salmon. The coffees were also really nice (we had matcha and chai lattes) but not made very sweet - you can of course add your own sugar. Staff were really friendly and didn’t mind that we played cards for a while after we finished eating (it was less busy by then so there were other free tables!)

Sunday 16th June at 1:20/1:30pm Sat at a table of 3 as there was 3 of us. After sitting there for a little while, it got uncomfortable as it was a tight squeeze, it was not busy and therefore moved to the 4 seater booth for more space. (It is worth mentioning prior coming in the gentleman that works there was sat alone there) As we sat down he came over and said “This is 4 seats for 4 people there are 3 of you” we went on to explain the tight squeeze and he still went on to explain there was 4 seats for a reason so we moved back and then without asking for consent or verbalising what he will be doing or suggesting the idea he moved the cushion i was sat behind and said “well move the cushion and there will be more space” with that he walked off. This is so upsetting and disappointing to not only me but the people I was with, and it put us off enjoying our time spent here. Looking back on reviews I can see this has been an issue in the past, and been complained about I would like to think he would of treated the situation differently and...

I had a very disappointing experience at this establishment. I visited with my husband, daughter, and a friend for lunch. We understand that the place was busy, and when we asked a waitress for a table outside, she kindly gave us the go-ahead to set up the table however we preferred, as the tables and chairs were tucked away by the door. However, shortly after, a woman approached us and reprimanded us for blocking the next door building. While we understood her point, it was still quite uncomfortable. It got worse, when an angry man, who I believe was the owner or manager, came out and shouted at us, mentioning that they were busy and that the food would take a long time. This situation could have been handled much more calmly and professionally. As someone who loves supporting local businesses, this experience was incredibly frustrating.

I hope they can improve communication among their team and be better at customer service or at least treating other people.

Would...
