Shocking from start to finish. Fancied a Friday night take away, ordered our dishes at 18:15, quoted 50 minutes delivery time, brilliant, nice and early in time to relax for the rest of the night after a busy week at work.
50 minutes pass, still no sign, gave it till 19:25 before calling the restaurant, phone answered quickly by a blunt man, I simply explained weād ordered at 18:15, that Iād had an email confirming it was out for delivery by 18:50 and I was merely checking if it was actually on its way⦠āyour order is on its way, itās being delivered with 7 other ordersā alarm bells ring for me immediately, I ask will it be hot? Yes, he then hung up. Which I thought was very rude.
A further 20 minutes tick on by, by this point weāre absolutely starving and the hanger is kicking in but non the less I call the restaurant again and was extremely polite despite the way the staff member was biting my head off, I explained I didnāt want cold food and if Iād have known the wait time was this long I wouldnāt have ordered from there.
āIāll cook your food fresh now & bring it myselfā he said, thank you I really appreciate that.
45 more minutes tick on by, the doorbell goes off, I open the door get a bag shoved into me and off he stomps down my driveway, not even an apology or hello.
I take the 20 steps it takes to walk from my hallway to my kitchen, open the bag and food containers to be greeted with stone cold food.
Absolutely livid by this point, I call the restaurant again, the manger starts to argue with me instead of listening with me and understanding the situation, he calls me a liar, insists the foods fresh (it was Luke warm at best!) and proceeds to shout down the phone, I tell him I would like a refund, explain why and he then tells me heāll do it now and Iāll get an email, I ask when can I expect the email, he said I donāt know, soon if youāve not got it you can come in tomorrow for it, then in the next breath he demands that I take the food back to the restaurant if I want a refund, I explained that Iām not prepared to go out of my way to get a refund for something that isnāt my fault. He kicks off again, so I took him up on this opportunity to go into the restaurant hand him the food back in front of his dining customers.
Totally and utterly disgusting service, food quality was awful to boot.
Sort yourselves out and learn how to speak to people, arguing with customers will get you nowhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and my partner took our kids out for a meal on Friday eve and we wanted Indian. Thought we would give this place a try as it is the closest to us. Will not be going back unfortunately. The restaurant was empty except for one other table and we were placed right next to them at the very front. There atmosphere was dead and each table could hear everything each was saying, there was no ambience at all and one older gentleman just doing everything. He had to cater to us diners, collect the food from the back, man the phones, Just Eat orders and walk in collections etc.
This meant service wasn't too great. When he had to often go in the back kitchen, the phone would be ringing, online order machine bleeping every 2 minutes in a quiet setting- all very annoying. We were never asked if we needed a drink or anything at all at any point, we had to keep waiting for him to be available to ask for anything, should have had another worker on in my opinion. Drinks selection was so poor! Never had anything in that me and my partner drink at all. The bottles on the shelf were almost empty, just the last dregs and once they were gone they were gone. The drinks we were given were in small glasses with one singular ice cube that melted fast and was left with a very unappealing drink (and one we didn't want in the first place) it is like they hadn't stocked up on anything. Not great considering it was a Friday night. Food was very average. Kids enjoyed theirs, but they had chicken tikka massala which you can't go too wrong with, was OK. But me and my partner left half of ours, was nothing special about it, and the pilau rice was bright yellow plain and dry, like what you get in microwave packets.
Toilets disgusting and smelly!
Almost £100 for a disappointing dining experience that lasted no longer than an hour because we just wanted to leave. Definitely go somewhere else for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot the greatest experience, more than likely will not be returning. Being served meat as a vegetarian is highly disrespectful and for 3 waiters to crowd around the table was extremely embarrassing explaining how our order was mixed up with another for take out. Completely unacceptable for an establishment to show this kind of service. The service was below standard and way over priced no discount was offered for the error only when we was paying the bill they took the cheapest item off which had minimal impact on the overall overpriced food. The quality of food was very bland from the food I did get to try however lacking a lot of authentic flavours. the onion bhajis were dry yet greasy. The chutneys seemed shop bought so that was a disappointing result also, overall I think this is the worst Indian restaurant I've visited so far. The reason I have given this review is not the fact the order was confused with another it was how it was handled. As a business this needs to be structured correctly for a business to succeed. I'm not sure how they have got so many good reviews as they have, as from what I experienced it was far from good. One of the worst parts of the evening, once the issue had been raised with the waiter/management they was rude to a whole new meaning. Every time they passed our booth they'd glare at us in the rudest manner. It was uncomfortable and distressing I hope they don't make any other customers feel like that as they pretty much ruined a...
