Olde Wyrley Hall — Restaurant in South Staffordshire

If you are looking to book a room to hire you will not regret booking Wyrley hall. from planning to packing up Carl and Lynn have just been a pleasure to work with and they communicated throughout the entire process.

On our first visit to discuss everything we wanted and to have a look around we was made to feel so welcome, we went through roughly what we wanted and Carl gave us some great Ideas, honestly if you are not sure about something or need ideas speak to him. He sat with us for as long as we needed him too (sorry Carl you missed the football game).

We paid to have the table cloths, chair covers and bows and they looked amazing.We drop our decorations, sweet cart and everything else that you could possibly need and not need for a wedding the day the night before and these were all set up for us free of charge due to the room being used for another wedding the evening before (to which we were made aware of). On the day of our wedding We had the room booked from 3pm onwards but it rained a lot while we were having photos taken. My husband gave Carl a ring to see if our guests could arrive earlier because of the rain and we was told the room is ready and to send them over. We had been and seen the room multiple times in the run up to the wedding but I was just blown away with how amazing it all looked. all throughout the day the amazing staff went around and kept the room tidy.

The buffet was just amazing and anything that was running low was replaced with more and it tasted just as good as it looked. The curry was just out of this world, our guests couldn't get enough of it.

We knew the room was being used the next afternoon for another function so as you do at the end of the night, our friends and family intended to get the room back to how we found it but they were told not to worry about and to enjoy the last of the evening.

Wow, that's all I can say about this place. We had our wedding reception here yesterday (19th July 2025). Honestly, Carl and the team couldnt of done anymore if they wanted to. From start to finish they where superb. Decoration of the room was out of this world, definitely get these guys to do the decor. Arrival of day guests 2pm meant to of been 3pm but due to the rain we had to bring them in erlier, Carl was on hand to cater for this and true to his word, the room was ready for us to arrive. He served Chip Butties for 3.30pm for us and our day guests to tide us over. This was a great suggestion and all guests loved it, c'mon; who dont love a chip buttie. Evening guests arrived 7pm, we had the Platinum buffet served with a curry & rice. when the buffet came out we was amazed with the service and the amount food that the team put on. Absolutely incredible. Every one of our 120 guests complimented this so many times. The whole place is spotless, clean, tidy, decor up to date, bar service cheap and friendly, toilets well looked after and clean. We literally have no faults with this place at all. There was always someone to hand if we needed anything. nothing was ever too much. We recently celebrated our wedding reception and evening at Olde Wyrley Hall on Saturday 24th May, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly and was handled with such care and professionalism.

The two-course meal for our 50 daytime guests was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and served by such friendly and attentive staff. Later in the evening, the buffet was just as impressive—plentiful, high quality, and enjoyed by everyone.

The whole day had a wonderful atmosphere, and we were made to feel so welcome throughout. It’s clear this is a well run, family led venue where nothing is too much trouble. Carl, his family, and the whole team were fantastic and made sure our day was exactly how we imagined it.

We’re so grateful to everyone at Olde Wyrley Hall for helping to make our day so special and at such a fair and reasonable price, too. We would highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a warm, relaxed, and professional setting for their big day.
