The White Horse Pub & Desi Grill House — Restaurant in South Staffordshire

The food was absolutely fantastic—tasty, great quality and excellent value for money. Couldn't have asked for better. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, which made our experience generally enjoyable. The owner also came round to check everyone was OK, which was a nice touch.

However, our visit was marred by one member of staff who was unfriendly and rude. Unfortunately, she made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Additionally, she asked us to settle the bill while still finishing our drinks, which felt a bit rushed—as if we were being encouraged to leave before we were ready. Personally, I'd prefer to pay upfront or at the end of the meal when I'm ready to go.

Went on the recommendation of a friend whose parents live on the neighboring estate. Really tasty food, good selection, great portions ( had the King grill and had to have a doggy bag) ! All this served by friendly staff and a proactive manager who seemed genuinely interested in our thoughts as we were not local or regulars. Being that this is a food pub , all normal pub facilities are available so if you don't want to miss the match you don't have to. I'm not a footie fan but can honestly say the football was not intrusive in the food area but was there if you were interested! I recommend giving this place a try ,I doubt you will be...

A real shame. After being recommend we went and ordered a takeaway whilst we waited. After an hour, the takeaway hadn’t arrived so we asked. Our meal had been taken by someone else.

They called the person to ask for it to be returned (we didn’t want a returned meal, after spending £60 and not knowing who had had it and where it had been!).

There was an apology and we did get our money back, so two stars for that, but after an hour wait it just isn’t good enough.

Unfortunately, won’t be returning which is a real shame as it smelt great and we had been recommended, which I won’t be able...
