Ginger Indian Street Food — Restaurant in South Tyneside

It's my favourite place to eat in South Shields. Competitively priced, great food, and very attentive staff.

This restaurant has the best tandoori chef working in the region. He is not only beyond competent in the kitchen but for very short periods, when there is time between orders and sufficient tome to completely hygiene activities. Also, be in the front serving area. Proud of his dishes and the human emotions on display. He may quickly act as the restaurant host or manager and enquire if everything has been to an individuals satisfaction - except as our tandoori chef of the evening is using this information to create alternative variations and recommend choices of main meal sundries.

All in time to return, perform all hygiene activities and even change his cheffs white clothes should this be required before returning to the work on the newly arrived orders...

My family and I were craving Indian food while we were visiting South Shields. Ginger Indian Street Food was one of the highest rated restaurants that I found online so decided to give it a try. It's now our new favourite! The food was sooo tasty and very well made, lots of options on the menu, and the set meals are really good value for money. I had the grilled fish as my main and I was pleasantly surprised at how tender and tasty it was. My mum had the Lamb Bombay Railway and it was extremely tender and delicious. Really can't say anything bad about the food. Best of all, service was excellent. Really helpful and polite staff, great ambience. Wish nothing but the best for the owner and staff. Amazing Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine restaurant. Do not miss this one when choosing an Ocean Road restaurant.

Their Tandoori cheff is the best in the business.

Their waiting staff Re tentative and never miss a beat.

A manager or possibly the owner was there when we visited and he ensured we had everything we needed for a perfect experience.

Very reasonably priced. Very clean and well organised. Ny favourite Indian cuisine restaurant along the entirety of Ocean Road a street famous for its many Indian restaurants.
