Coffeelogy Southampton — Restaurant in Southampton

I was thrilled to discover this lovely place today. I'm always on the look out for good independent coffee shops which are also friendly and have a nice vibe. It is harder to find than you'd think!!

Today was my lucky day! I was welcomed like a friend. It is sometimes awkward going into a new place, but I loved it immediately.

Then, my beady little eyes spied Turkish coffee on the menu.... I must say, it is one of the best coffees I have ever tasted. Not only this, but it was automatically served with a glass of water (it is sadly not a custom in the UK and I generally have to ask). This was all complimented by a perfectly light buttery biscuit on the side.

I sat outside on the terrace in the shade and read my book while enjoying this treat. I will be visiting regularly!! Not only for the coffee and smiles, but also maybe some of gorgeous looking goodies I saw from the corner of my eye..... That and the art gallery when it is complete.

I think i just found my new favourite place!

I discovered Coffeelogy today by accident. As I coach driver, I needed to stop and take a break. The atmosphere was friendly with interesting design and decor, plus filled with books to read. I ended up staying for a couple of hours before going back to collect my passengers. The coffee was lovely and reasonably priced and the cinnamon swirl was delicious too! A great place to spend some spare time, relax and enjou a book. The gentleman serving was so friendly too and kindly let me borrow the book I became engrossed in until I return next. Well worth a visit and I shall be returning next time I have a job in...

This is a real Southampton gem, the food is lovely, coffee excellent and it's quite an experience- lots of really cool art work inside, unlike any other place I've been in Southampton. It's located next to houndwell park so perfect if you are passing through or need a refuel stop with the kids after the park. Child friendly and the staff were ey warm and welcoming. They also had some little games/puzzles/books for kids which meant I could actually relax a bit myself whilst the kids were occupied! We will be back again!
