Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Southampton

The building is small and customers are a little on top of each other, which I don't like at all, especially when they are constantly coughing without coughing into their arm, or a tissue but openly all over the area they are occupying.

When we arrived we had to walk in through a smell of cigarettes from people on tables just outside the entrance.

The staff were all absolutely fabulous, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, unfortunately the toilets were not great, the accessible toilet had what I would like to think was water all over the floor, there is a table literally outside the toilet door, where people are sat eating and drinking, which is a hygiene nightmare, and the smell from the toilets is a very musty, damp, old building kind of smell alongside obvious toilet kind of smells, not ideal at all, and I believe there should not be a table right outside the door.

The staff were great 5/5, the building 3/5 for accessibility, the toilets 2/5 for accessibility, 0/5 for cleanliness & if I could give -5 for having a table right outside the door, literally opposite the toilet itself, should be moved...

I never seeing this at all . I went to costa coffee in Shirley Southampton, I ordered green tea and guess what they did. The put water in treatment pot and put tea bag on the tray 🤔🤔. So by time to prepare this for me I took the tray and put on table and I was shocked a tea bag separated from tea pot I thought it's an extra one just in case if I want my tea strong. I open tea pot and only water on it . Okay this is new to me I don't know about you. So I put tea bag in tea pot I waited and I waited and that tea bag just released a little colour in the water because the water wasn't hot enough at all. Is this way to serve tea new because of COVID-19? I don't think so .just people are became lazy to do their job properly. Shame...

Have repeatedly asked the store to remove the graffiti as our council requires us to do, but they refuse to remove it, even stating so ''they have said if they remove it then it wil just happen again'' (thas what the costa facebook said the store replied to them) So they clearly don't care about the residents of the area, the ones who would actually buy their products, They're happy to leave it looking a state . If they are fine about that, i wouldn't trust anything coming out of their store.

PS. it would take all of 2 minutes to paint over. so its just pure...
