Sadly, it’s temporarily closed due to a business issue - with a note on the front door. I was pleasantly impressed by the quality of this take away by Dhamaka. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and pilau rice. A very tasty and generous meal it was too. I’m happy to recommend this place for dining in or ordering a take away. It’s easy to find among the row of Bitterne Triangle shops. It has seats for about 40 people in all. Clean, tidy and comfortable seats with basic but tasteful decor. Staff are welcoming and service is provided on time.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants in Southampton. The spicy warm prawn cocktail was delicious. And love the Malabar beer on draught. The naan was done really well. Hoping to make a return at some point in the near future.

Got take away for three. Service was fine, offered to deliver to us in the pub next door - wasn't needed. Two of the meals were okay but the third was not - it tasted as if the spices were raw and bitter, although the meat in all three was perfect. The naan was disappointing, more like a paratha than a naan. Lastly, the poppadoms were cooked in old oil and tasted of it, we didn't eat them. Hoped for so much more but ended up...

Tried Dhamaka for takeaway and I am quite disappointed as the “Kadhai Paaner Masala” and “Tikka Masala” (all vegetarian) tasted like they had only sugar or something sweet inside - they were TOO sweet. Such a surprising experience, I had to rubbish them. We couldn’t eat it. These two dishes tasted the same just paaner cheese was added to the “Kadhai Paaner Masala”. Although I recommend...
