Located in the rear garden terrace entrance of the Bitterne Hotel in two shipping containers and, visible from Whitworth Crescent, is this clean, tidy and authentic Italian style pizza place. There are a few steps up to the entrance with branded flags along the way. I found the staff friendly and gave me a menu to choose from. I opted for a simple tandoori chicken pizza at £13. It was delicious and authentic stone baked. I would recommend it based on the stone baked oven unlike the other pizza outlets that I have tried. Unfortunately not easy access for disabled people due to the steps.

We ordered the meat feast special (sausage, chicken and pepperoni) and margarita pizzas, along with the spiced fries and garlic bread as sides. The pizzas were fantastic- the meat feast pizza didn’t skimp on the toppings and flavour was amazing, especially the chicken which was spiced perfectly. The fries and garlic bread were great sides. The pizzas and sides were all freshly made to order and tasted absolutely fantastic. We opted to take the pizzas home as it was fairly cold outside but their outside seating area would be a vibe in the summertime. We will definitely be coming back!

I had high hopes for this pizza considering the reviews. However, the pizza sauce was watery and flavourless, bizarrely the cheese was also bland. Because of this the Margherita was so strange as it didn't really taste of anything. The Carbonara pizza was intensely salty and this overwhelmed any other flavour. The cheesy garlic bread simply didn't taste of garlic, and again it suffered from the bland cheese effect. Everything looked great, the trailer looked clean and the staff were friendly. Sadly the food just didn't taste good at all.

Edit - 21May25 - had foccacia and fries, it costed 5 pounds each but, was not good, the foccacia was pre made it was just warmed up, which made it dry. Fries quantity has reduced same as the chip shop fries also it's no longer skin on fries it's just the regular supermarket frozen fries. The first time we went it was amazing foccacia was made fresh and skin on fries were better quality and quantity was more. Now it seems it's gone seriously downhill and foccacia is just regular supermarket foccacia warmed and fries are regular chip shop fries with rosemary, that's it for 5 pounds each. Not happy would go to chip shop and supermarket and would get these cheaper. Staff and atmosphere were same good and polite no fault there. Pizzas were okay, but overall quite a bit dissapointed at the food, and it deserves only 3 star.

The pizza, foccacia and skin on fries are amazing, everything was excellent and really yummy with a light pizza base and fresh ingredients, would definitely visit again and...

An Outstanding First Experience at Melt Pizza!

From the moment we arrived—just 20 minutes before closing—we were treated like absolute royalty. The hospitality was second to none. A huge thank you to the manager and Gino, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. The manager even took time out to personally chat with us about the story and process behind the restaurant, and his passion for what they do truly shone through.

Now, let’s talk about the food—perfection. Every bite was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. It’s not every day you find a spot that nails both quality and customer experience like this.

The outside seating was spotless and beautifully lit, creating the perfect vibe to enjoy our meal. Other restaurants could seriously take notes!

Massive respect to Gino and the team—you’ve created something special here. I wish you all the success and will 100% be returning. Keep doing what you’re doing—it’s working...

We were traveling for 5 hours and decided to support a local takeaway by ordering from Melt Pizza. Big mistake. The pizza never arrived, even after waiting several hours. The shop then closed for the night, and there was no way to contact anyone about the missing order.

The next day, I called them and was told they never received the order – even though I had email confirmation showing it was accepted and marked as "in the kitchen." I kindly asked them to either resend the food or issue a refund, but the manager refused to do either. No food, no refund, no apology.

This place is completely unprofessional and unreliable. Save yourself the trouble and order elsewhere. Not...
