I’m pleased that there is still an Indian curry restaurant in the Bitterne Triangle. It’s easy to find by the Victorian clock next to the Butcher’s Hook micro brewery. It’s been newly redecorated and has seating for 34 and it’s also temperature controlled by air conditioning. Staff are welcoming with prompt service.

I have been mostly for the takeaway service and the wait is around fifteen to twenty minutes. I had a Chicken Jalfrezi with pilau rice and two complimented papadum. It was delicious and very well made with a little kick of chilli’s added to make it extra tasty. I didn’t leave anything left on my plate.

When I ordered I spoke to a member of staff who was very pleasant and he spoke about the place being family run. I have had many curries over the years and it was up there with the most enjoyable.

I would recommend this place with no hesitation and my star ratings are as honest as I can be.

There is a no alcohol policy here. Soft drinks are available. Plus there is a place next door if you want an...

I ordered a takeaway for collection this evening and your able to state what time you would like it ready for which I put 6:25pm, my partner collected it at 6:20 and drove the 8minute drive home. I unpacked it I notched the chips were cold and thought ok I’ll just reheat them In the Mircowave (not ideal but ok) I then took the lids of everything else and found everything either lukewarm or cold for the curry and rice, the naan bread was also stone cold and quite undercooked and doughy and the onion bhajis cold through microwaving them is not pleasant.

I was very disappointed by having to reheat up the whole meal and my partner was shocked after the great interaction he had inside speaking to staff about how it has now been taken over by...

Started coming here when my regular restaurant in Portswood closed. Mainly used for takeaways but have eaten in a couple of times. (They also do home deliveries - just call or use their website as it's cheaper than the delivery company prices) I've had many of the dishes on the menu and they are all great on flavour and well portioned (and nicely served when eating in). The staff are all polite and very eager to ensure your meal is as required. Whilst they don't sell alcohol they do provide a corkage service for your own drinks as well as selling soft drinks, non-alcoholic gin / beers / etc. Alternatively, you can buy your beers in the next door micro-brewery and...

This isn't just a place you pass by; it's a culinary gem worth trying. The food here is absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor and retaining the authenticity of its spices. The chicken and lamb are exceptionally tender. The service is outstanding; the staff takes the time to personalize your experience and explain the menu. The atmosphere is delightful, and the prices are reasonable. The lamb with rice is a personal favorite, and every dish is beautifully presented. I've been a regular since they opened, eagerly anticipating each visit for dinner. I've yet to encounter a meal I didn't enjoy.

Top curry dishes and owner lovely chap to chat to. No alcohol license but there is a £3 corkage fee per person. Spar next door and some great offer on IPA and larger for me.. I had the Madras (good balance of heat and spice) and I tasted the other curries, just to check the quality, and they are awesome too. The service was a little slow but we were in no hurry, I think they had a few takeaway orders to fulfil first. Cutlery is well used but clean, so bring your posh knives and forks... but it's the curry that's the winner!!
