Shame 1 star lowest we can do here. Visited Pizza Hut Southampton and honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had as a family. From the moment we got to the entrance we weren't made to feel welcome. Should have taken the hint and gone next door.
The whole experience felt like a chore. Poor food, poor service, and zero care.
Stuffed crust pizza was soggy around the edges and dripping with oil. GF Veggie Supreme was lukewarm and noticeably smaller than expected Garlic bread was limp and somehow soggy. Seemed as if it had been reheated in a microwave. Bottomless drinks were completely flat. More bubbles in the ice! All options apart from the basics were "SOLD OUT" Kids meal: 3 chicken strips and a handful of chips—barely a snack for most kids. No napkins on the table; had to go searching and gave up. Had to help myself to the staff blue roll. Asked for mayo, got told “at the salad bar” with zero effort. Of which the salad bar was a total mess with nothing labelled. Brilliant for allergies 👏 Asked if any us had allergies to which replied yes, to then get no information at all and told to scan QR code. Top of West Quay has no phone reception or WiFi so how's that going to work? When we sat down we were pointed at a machine in the corner saying order there or use QR code. That was as good as the interaction between staff and customer got. Thought we had come to dine in not gone to a fast food restaurant. Probably why no one checked on us after food arrived— probably good job to. The staff looked like they couldn’t care less Then a 20-minute wait for a dessert that was called a cookie dough but was just a cookie!
If this is the standard it sets for itself, it’s no wonder the company went into administration. Other customers were being turned away with loads of seating available. Didnt make sense!! Not sure it's worth rescuing if this is the...
Read moreSo today I went to Pizza Hut with two other people. We stood waiting to be seated for about 15 minuets due to staff standing around having a conversation, even though they saw we were waiting. When we were seated the server, who we did not know the name of due to none of the staff wearing name badges which to me a former waitress is very unprofessional, left us. Myself and my friends looked at the menu to decide what we wanted to eat, the server came over after 10 minuets to ask if we were ready but we needed more time so she gave us a further 20 minuets. After making eye contact with our server she finally came over after 20 minuets, in the 20 minuets we decide what we wanted to eat within 5 minuets and waited the other 15 minuets to be served because yet again all the staff were stood around talking including the managers. I think the unlimited salad is a good idea but should be refreshed often because when I got a bowl of salad it all looked old and not appealing to eat, also my friend ordered cheese bites which was more like dough bites as they had hardly any cheese in them. However the pizza was not nice to eat due to having no taste to it, it might as well been a piece of cardboard we were eating. In addition one of my friends ordered cinnamon rolls but it was more like dough with a little sprinkle of cinnamon, there was no flavour to any of the food, it was all bland. When asking for the bill it was a different server this is because the person who sat us down clocked out, in my opinion as being a waitress, you should have to finish your current tables before leaving. Overall I do not think myself and my friends will be eating at this Pizza Hut again. In my opinion this Pizza Hut should be reviewed by top managers to see that their staff are stood around most of the time talking and not taking orders as well as they should have to wear...
Read moreAbsolute shocking service, half hour wait to be served which was told as we entered, not a problem although they weren't exactly busy but it was a weekend. We were disgusted at the way food was thrown at us onto the table when it arrived, waitress didn't even ask who's was who's. The wrong pizza was delivered so we checked the order and they told us no it was the right one which meat feast is defiantly not pepperoni. Finally getting the bill after waiting over 20 minutes for it we see that the pizza we ordered (pepperoni) was correct on the bill yet they neglected to change it when we checked when the food arrived so they basically lied to us over it. We asked someone to box up the pizza and we were told she couldn't do it. I didn't realize you needed a city and guilds qualification to make up a pizza box. They should employ children that have been playing with the new Nintendo labo cardboard sets as they would be more competent. Tables were dirty and people were being seated at them I was shocked. Me and my partner don't have a lot of money and were disheartened when we decided to eat out and had service like this. Head office were going to send us a voucher for the inconvenience yet it's been nearly a month and nothing. All in all go to pizza...
