I got a Chicken Asado Burrito and it was 13.72GBP
The first few bites I had were promising as it was mostly just fresh tortilla and poorly distributed guac. I was hoping it would be maybe on level with Baja Fresh at that point? But as the burrito went on it honestly wasn't even on par with Chipotle. There was no guac throughout the rest of the burrito, it had all been clustered on one bottom end and the rest of the burrito was fairly dry and under-seasoned.
Granted I'm from Cali, so I'm not expecting UK Mexican food quality to be close to what I grew up with. But at least a fast food chain like Chipotle seemed like an attainable goal?
The price is INSANELY expensive for what you get. In the US this would convert to $18.54 but flavorwise can't even compete with the poor burrito quality you can get for $7 (even a bougie Chipotle option isn't gonna top like $12, but I'd also literally prefer the
Read moreOrdered the quesadillas with beef for a £1 extra and made it a meal for £3 extra. The make it a “meal” was not worth it at all. Since it was a small bag of tortilla chips which were extremely salty and a can of drink.
I had also ordered a cheese dip for £2. This was also not worth it.
Let’s talk about the actual food first before the service.
The quesadilla’s structure were nonexistent. Not what I would have expected from a quesadilla. The beef was okay, nothing special.
I asked what a can of drink was as I could only partially see it and the response I got was just them pointing at the cans already on display, but the can I was referring to wasn’t displayed. It took her a few seconds before she questioned herself and saw that it might not be on display and she muttered something and got the can I was looking at and placed it by the display stand and did not say anything at all.
Terrible service, no communication skills at all.
All in all, I wanted to try tortilla and now I have and will not go to another tortilla again. Overpriced and mediocre. Very surprising this is a chain, especially in Southampton with so many other food...
Read moreThe price left a bitter taste in my mouth for a mediocre burrito. Go to Mexi-Go Go instead cheaper and better quality they don’t charge and extra £1 for a beef burrito or £1.50 for a blob of guacamole that’s £6 for us all to have a smidge of guacamole or £1/£4 for us all to have squeeze of cheese! For a family of four we had for lunch today 1 med beef burrito three large beef burritos all with guacamole and squeezecheese sauce, two of them I upgraded for a drink and a packet of corn chips that was an extra £3 each so other £6 and then my medium one and the other large one,I just added two drinks. Guess how much!!! with the added extra’s that I wasn’t aware of thinking that the Billboard advertised a large burrito at £9.50 and a medium at £8.50… the total price £59.50!! I took the family for a Toby Carvery the day before 4 roast dinners two pudding 1 orange juice 1 pint of beer and 2 cokes £60! I feel robbed and the burrito’s the beef was drier than a Mexicans flip-flop pretty mediocre, never going there again save your money and go go to Mexi Go go in London road runs circles...
