Move over, Sunday roast disappointments – Rita’s Bar has cracked the code to a roast that’ll make your taste buds do the happy dance! It’s like they gathered all the ‘meh’ from other roasts and tossed it out the window, leaving behind a masterpiece that even outshines my own kitchen creations.
Now, let’s talk roast potatoes. Normally, they’re the drama queens of the roast, but not at Rita’s. These spuds are the rock stars of the plate – crispy, golden, and downright amazing. I might consider starting a fan club just for them.
And the gravy? It’s not just good; it’s the supporting actor that steals the show, adding flavor like a seasoned stand-up comedian dropping punchlines.
Now, about that cauliflower cheese – usually the unsung hero. But at Rita’s, it takes center stage, transforming into a cheesy sensation that steals the show with every bite.
But wait, there’s more! The staff at Rita’s Bar are the real stars. Friendly, fun, and ready to roll with your quirky requests. I threw them a curveball with a coffee float query, and the server – bless his adventurous spirit – hadn’t heard of it but was all in for the experiment. That’s service.
Rita’s Bar isn’t just a place; it’s a vibe. It’s my new go-to. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on a party for your taste buds and your funny bone. Rita’s Bar – where good times and great...
Read moreRita's Cocktail Bar - Is classy & cool. We were lucky enough to go to the opening night and based on what we experienced ,will now be our "Southampton go to bar"
We were greeted buy two well presented, polite doormen. Once in (and adhering to Covid rules) we were taken to our seats.
Drinks menu's are provided and our order was taken. Now, bearing in mind it was opening night and was extremely busy our drinks were with us in a timely manner.
So first impressions. . . A very welcoming, classy yet cool bar, well thought layout, gorgeous artwork & decor.
The team behind the bar were immaculately turned out as were the front of house team. The owners/management were doing exactly as you would expect for a new venue and mingling whilst directing.
So above is my (been in the trade for years review) Below is my (I am just a guest review)
Loved it, amazing drinks and unlike some bars that charge the earth for a cocktail you barely taste the alcohol, Rita's cocktails are smooth, punchy, quality and presented really nicely too.
A great mix of ages and a safe feeling, really good music, fun happy staff and well organised.
Defininately a must try for anyone that would like to get away from the "standard" bar!
We wish them well with Rita's bar and looking forward to spending a few happy "non school...

Booked for social drinks, now this bar is set up for seating and drinking not really dancing as it's a small venue which would normally be so nice. Our table was booked for 7:30 on a Saturday yes music is to be expected on a Saturday night and we planned to stay all evening but the music they were playing was so unbearably loud, believe me were not being party poopers, we were a group of 25 - 40 yr olds. I would understand if they turned the music up later on in the evening but we couldn't even hear eachother talking across the table, when ordering drinks we couldn't hear the staff and did mention how loud it was but the hour we were there the music seemed to just get louder and louder and spoiled the atmosphere. We 100% are all for everyone enjoying their time and have spent time in various cocktail bars but having such loud music so early in the evening just put us off staying. We moved to another bar where music was still playing but we could at least still talk and enjoy our evening. For the size of venue and the set up they need to think about the volume levels! Shame as the staff are lovely and...
