Very disappointed!!! After hearing a lot about it thought of giving it a try while we are in Southampton but been let down. To start with parking, they do not have an allotted parking space so it’s a big challenge finding parking in near by streets, you’ll be lucky if you get a spot (on street parking) in front of the restaurant. Ambience is nice but tables are set very closely so it gets very crowded and noisy too, menu is good and got mix of veg and non veg options. Coming to food, highly disappointed. For starters we ordered a veg platter, portion size was so small, samosa was very tiny and they only severed 1 paneer tikka, 1 onion bhaji, 1 cutlet and 2 pieces of some other bhaji - platter taste - average Coming to main course- ordered Shahi paneer and tandoori roti. To be honest, couldn’t figure out the taste of Shahi paneer it was just bland, tandoori roti was so thick and was not even close to actual tandoori roti - main course taste - below average Won’t be going back again.

£27.95 per person for the set menu 1 ended up quite disappointing Starters were quite small and not very hot we had a choice of mains between the saag paneer and the daal but i do not remember being asked for my choice, just recieving it. The jhinga tawe wala was flavourless. The chicken lababdar was actually quite nice The dessert was nice but ridiculously small, didnt remember being asked for which one either though, as there were two choices Once the final dish had been taken away, we were not told about where to go to pay until we felt too awkward to stay sitting any longer. My first time at a slightly expensive resturant and i think ill stick with homemade food. Extra: we had a fly that we named steve with us the entire dining experiance that wouldnt go away, and all the food is absolutly covered in coriander, which we both have the soapy corriander gene. 2 / 10

We were so disappointed with the food. We have eaten from many Indian takeaways and restaurants and can honestly say the majority of the dishes were inedible. We spoke to the restaurant to say that the food wasn’t very nice and that it was cold and the reply l received was that it was a cold night out. Our dishes were beyond spicy and they said that it was described as spicy on their website however it does not give a description of any of their dishes. Bhuna is not a spicy dish but medium so they did offer to replace with a milder version but the whole dish was just not up to standard. The potatoes in the vegetable bhuna were dry and not at all fresh. The photo below shows a saag aloo but it l just couldn’t eat it as it didn’t even resemble any other saag aloo that l have had before. Really sorry to have to leave a negative review.

Disgraceful and rude owner... We went to this place twice in a row for family dinner. We had a small child with us. The moment we settled, the owner Mr. Amarjot came and took our order. We ordered full fledged meals and also clarified that we need the meal for the child first and other items can be brought later as her mother needs to feed her first. On that very moment he rudely told us that he has lot of orders going on in the kitchen and we need to order all items at once which took us for a surprise that how could we know how much everyone could eat before starting our meal. Anyways, we got our order and we had our food there. We humbly told him that if he could warm up the food so that the child can have it properly to which he responded with all his tantrums and told us bluntly that we need to be clear with our order. A day later, we again went to this place taking the first experience as an exception. The moment we entered the restaurant he rudely told us the same non-sensical thing of ordering the food at once. We took this very patiently as we were inclined to eat there. In the middle of our meal we ordered few breads and two or more items. The waiter came to us and rudely told us that they cannot complete the order soon as their chefs are extremely busy and they cannot top-up the order. We told him that we are ready to wait; the very next moment Mr. Amarjot came and started shouting and arguing with us that yesterday also we did this. This was the height of his ill-hospitality, rudeness, unprofessional attitude towards customer service.......we straight away told him to bring our bill as we didn't want to eat there anymore. Mr. Amarjot and his staff left no chance to humiliate us in front of other people and made the entire environment unfriendly........the children were frightened and uncomfortable to eat their food and we left....Highly un-recommended after having such a traumatic...

Once in a month we use to go there and in the evening we choose to do our dinner there. We were very pleased when we saw tasty Indian (Punjabi) food it was always delicious no complaints . The lady all the time who hoist us was very kind and respectful just because of her and tasty food we liked to go there . But last evening she was not there and there was a another lady she treated us in such a horrible way. We saw, that while attending other guests she was very humble but when she attended us on the time of starter, main course and at billing time she was very rude with us. It seemed like that she didn’t like us just because we were Punjabi and all that time we called her sister and talked in Punjabi it seems like that she was admiring us as illiterate and desi persons who directly landed their from india (village). when we said to her that the food is not that much good, as much as we ate all the last time and she answered us in very rude and in bossy words.I don’t want to mention her name she was there last evening (25th of March )she just spoiled our night with her arrogant and rude behavior. We liked that place very much we will continue to go there but if she will be there next time then we will leave that time. I don’t want that she can loose her job. But at least she needs to learn how to behave with the guests. When we left the place she was still looking at us in such bossy way . If she doesn’t like a simple Punjabi People you just need to put a board that, a simple and Punjabi People are not allowed here. It is my first time when I’m giving a my bad experience review on open platform. Because last day it was my daughter’s birthday and she ruined our evening with her behavior. Hopefully Respected Amar Randawa (owner) will do...

Firstly upon entering, the atmosphere is very cozy and the decor is amazing. Very lovely.

We ordered 2 drinks and the set menu for 2. This was a tad confusing at first but essentially you get the starters together then separate dishes one of each main then 2 deserts. You also get popadoms. I was offered to have my starters placed separately to the meat as I'm vegetarian which was very thoughtful.

Popadoms were lovely and crisp. The chutneys were very nice also. Starters were lovely I had the vegetable and and the veg samosa. Nice and lightly cooked. My friend opted to try the Murgh Malai , fish pakora and the Gosht Seekh which he liked very much also.

The main was Butter Chicken,Lahori Kadhai Lamb, Saag Paneer Tadka Daal, Pulao Rice & Mixed Naan Basket.

We split between meat and non and both found our dishes very tasty. the only slight issue was the Saag Paneer as it was pretty much a paste in the dish with what appeared to be 2 paneer pieces. We tried but were not able to finish.

The desert we decided to take away with us opting for the Gajjar Halwa and Gulab Jamun. this was in a tuppawear pot and the Gajjar Halwa was not so good by the time we got up the road however the Jamun was very tasty still lovely light hint of flavours and very soft delicate texture.

All in all a pleasant new experience and the staff were very welcoming, helpful with our questions and...
