The Rover Inn — Restaurant in Southampton

Absolutely wonderful pub. Me, my partner and son went here on the off chance of a table to watch the England game. The atmosphere was amazing, the people were really friendly and the staff were brilliant although they were kept very busy they were never rude or abrupt.

They even came round with a few bits of food during the second half of the game and some shots when England scored!

The jukebox went on afterwards and it made the atmosphere even better. People were just having a good time.

I must say also you have the cleanest toilets I've ever seen in a pub!

My first visit today for a quick pint. And, I was very impressed, I received a very warm welcome from Lily (hopefully the correct spelling) The pub is spotlessly clean, and a decent crowd for lunchtime. The Rover is a live music venue 🤘🤘So major brownie points for that. A good choice of beers at reasonable prices. Also, a hidden gem for breakfast. The Rover Pub, Shirley, just passing by 11.45 am, it says breakfast till 12 - Lovely friendly lady behind bar, yes no trouble, wasn't expecting much for a medium @ £4.95, and at that time just before close, thought it might be leftovers.
