Freemantle Lake Park — Attraction in Southampton

The park is okay, but what really needs attention is the children's play park and the disgusting structure right next to it which is often used by druggies. The play park specifically is very ignored. The equipment is filthy and needs to be pressure washed, and it took 5 years of me nagging for the council to finally remove the broken/dangerous trampoline. Great place to walk your dog (it is enclosed, although some entrances are still wide open due to broken fence so be careful if your dog likes to run away...) Highly recommend this park as an alternative to the Friends of the Field park for dog-walking. It even has a dog training area although my dog doesn't really seem to get it :)) Also great playground for children, my nephew visited...

Money has been spent on the park but the kid's slides swings etc are still a disgrace. The mini trampolines have been removed so even less for them to do.
