SAUCE kebab & pizza — Restaurant in Southampton

We went to the Fish Station in East Street, for a Sunday evening kebab, but sadly it was shut so we took a little walk around Queensway, found Sauce and decided to give it a go.

The woman serving us was really approachable, informative, helpful and patient. They didn’t have any chips left (Sunday evening) so we went for Lamb donner and she advised with bread and it was a great recommendation.

The kebab was hearty, chilli sauce had a little kick to it, garlic sauce lovely, kebab meat was wow and overall I found it to be one of the best kebabs I have had in the area. It had a really good texture, good balance of flavour and I was full when I left.

The decor was nice, not like a normal kebab shop. It was nice to see the Polish community and I am super excited to pop back next weekend with my daughter and our friend for round two.

The only downside was not related to the restaurant but when we went outside we were twice approached for money by some shady looking characters. Sad they bring the area down but it was a great experience and we...

We were really looking forward to visiting this place on our way back from the beach. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 7:35 pm, we were informed that they were no longer taking orders, despite their posted closing time of 8 pm. The staff member we spoke to was quite rude when we mentioned that we had driven 30 minutes specifically to visit their establishment. Her response was that she had started her shift at 11 am, so it had been a long day for her too.

Is this really how you treat your customers, with such a flimsy excuse? We are deeply disappointed and will not be returning. We certainly won't be recommending this place to any of our friends, as this kind of attitude has completely turned us off from their food and establishment. Also, please update your hours. If you stop serving at 7:30 pm, there's no point in claiming to be open until 8 pm....

Personally for me is the best Kebab place at the moment in Southampton and i tryed quite few places in town untill found this one. Is not like traditional turkish Kebab like you can get in Uni KEBAB or somewhere else , but i telling you, you must try the Sauce Kebab in home made crispy bread !!!Hudge portion, nice garnish, not only cabbidge and onion...:) Tasty them own marinate chicken, hudge range of sauce deeps to choose. Good lamb quality aswell. Lovely service :) Apart Kebab you can get Pizzas, wraps and other option on menu. They have Break fast menu from morning till 12am. Good design interior, nice to stay and eat there.
