We moved from Southampton central to the local area, we saw the pub as we moved to our new home, it's always a hit and miss with new pubs and fitting in, within seconds of buying a pint, we were part of their family, the landlord and landlady came up and greeted us, my wife has mental health and omg, she has never been more supported, it was amazing, they saw she was struggling and offered her to sit with their friends and they really protected her and made her their main focus. I had heard things about the pub before going and people saying it was a rough pub, seriously do not listen to the past stories, they are amazing, compassionate and the feel of the community is overwhelming, they are family and dog friendly, down to earth and so welcoming. The staff are always happy and jovial with great speedy service. They have all the sports channels for those of us who love football and a fantastic entertainment schedule there with live bands that cover so many genres, they have karaoke regularly ( Thursday and Sunday nights ) the locals make everyone feel welcome.
