We’ve been to Marmalade many times before and always had excellent food and service, but sadly our recent visit was incredibly disappointing and raised some serious concerns. To begin with, the table we were seated at had sharp cable ties underneath, which cut my wife’s leg as she sat down. This is a serious safety hazard that should never be present in any dining environment. Then, to make matters worse, a fly had been cooked into the side salad we ordered — a completely unacceptable hygiene issue. Despite the restaurant being quiet, our meals were very slow to arrive. And when we were ready to ask for the bill, all of the staff were standing around chatting and laughing with each other rather than checking on tables. When we finally got the bill, there was no apology or acknowledgment of any of the problems we had experienced. We’re not sure if the management or team has changed, but it’s clear that standards have dropped significantly. Based on this visit, we won’t be returning.

Phenomenal! This is a must not miss sort of place. It’s cute and quant from the outside, you walk in, the staff are super friendly the music sets up nice ambiance. The place has great natural lighting and nice moody lighting, the interior is really cosy. We got the full breakfast. The mushrooms were incredible, the potato rosti was perfectly seasoned. The eggs were pouched also perfectly. We had iced coffees which were really good Couldn’t ask for better from every one involved. The staff were so friendly which really made the experience that much better. I’d highly recommend you check this place out

Had a brilliant brunch here, the staff were fantastic and so friendly. The food was incredible, loved the complimentary fruit at the start. The coffee was made very well. The English breakfast was superb, the sausages and hash brown was a delight. My saussisignon eggs Benedict were sublime and made to perfection. Recommended

The food was absolutely delicious, we went there forgetting hatch had moved but we're not disappointed by what we got instead, and has lead is to choose between this establishment and hatch to what we choose in the future, the service was impeccable, we were delivered fresh fruit soon after we had order and as we sat down a bottle of fresh water was left at our table which was a lovely addition. We went at 9.30 on a Sunday so the business was quiet but was still lovely and picked up as we ate our breakfast 10/10 would recommend to my...
