The staff are lovely here, and the drinks are plentiful. But the space is poorly utilised for functions. We had our Christmas party here and the music was so loud yet all the big bulky tables and chairs were left out so there was nowhere to dance and enjoy the music. The tables were mostly used for coats and bags, while people stood around them trying to have conversations. Everyone was straining to hear over the music. It wasn't possible to sit at a table and have a conversation - we had to stand close together to hear each other. Trying to edge past the crowds to get to the toilet, bar, or outside without catching a table or knocking into someone was...

Just been served by possibly the most miserable bar person in my many, many years of pub visits. Literally not a single word during the whole transaction. No 'hello', 'what can I get you?', any of that nonsense. Oh, and don't bother handing the car machine to me, just let me walk to the other end of the bar. No goodbye, thank you..you'd think you'd get at least the basics when handing over almost 6 quid for a drink, but nah. Must have been inconveniencing this poor lady, she needed to get back to staring at her phone with her gormless looking colleague.
