It turns out that the ‘side show’ of this restaurant is a dessert bar. Masquerading under the alias ‘Dessert Island’. Well if I were in the market for the purchase of an island, this dessert bar (shudders while typing) would be far cry to what you would expect.

I was a little dubious when ordering via Just Eat when I seen the list of options- Icecream, Cheesecake, Waffles, INDIAN DISHES... The saying “jack of all trades, master of none” ring true for this joint.

I sit here struggling what to write at this point. We opened the bag in trepidation over the contents, turns out the dread was not an oversight.

I won’t break down the contents of each desert, I couldn’t bear to relive the trauma of it again. But I will summon the courage to at least describe what I received. The easiest way to do this is to take you to another place, Iceland to be precise. Imagine ordering a slice of toffee cheesecake from a ‘dessert parlour’ Just to discover what you had been served is 1/2 a 79p frozen (still frozen when it hit my mouth) cheesecake. The disappointment was too much to handle, so I did that every good man would do. Banged it in the fridge, moaned about it for the next 12 hours then fed it to the kids the next day.

Apologies again for not being able to bring myself to review the other items but I will let your imagination feed your brain. Although, and fair play, the waffle did receive good reviews by the sister...

Disappointed. We have been regular customers of this curry house for some time but unfortunately, after this evenings meal, we will be using a different restaurant from now on. The food here is usually fabulous but like any restaurant, the quality / reasons for favouring that place is not necessarily always consistent (or at least, in your opinion) however, you make allowances for the little one off’s (missing items, delays in service / delivery, a slight - temporary change to a dish - especially if you favour a certain dish etc) but tonight’s meal has been absolutely dreadful. We were really looking forward to the food despite it taking nearly an hour and half to arrive which was later than they had advised but unfortunately, it really was not worth the wait. The curries were sloppy and congealed. The chicken was dry and awfully gristly, the rice was hard!🤢 and the chips were over cooked and stale. The only items that were satisfactory (at best) were the crackers and the side dips. I’m genuinely shocked how bad the meals were and how they made it out the restaurant! Eating out / getting a take away is a treat, especially with the cost of living increasing but tonight’s food couldn’t have been any further from a...

Went there over the weekend for my friends birthday. We asked the waitress if we could have our starters and sides same time as main as the other girls was just having the mains and she agreed. Starters came out first...had to eat it cause was getting cold then our mains, sides arrived which was just chips, rice and naan eyc....we complained to the waitress and she said it was her fault as she forgotten to tell the chef..waitress offered a new starter to come out asap... starter arrived but it was the wrong dish then our chips, rice and naan was cold... finally the new starter arrived....took one bite and found a hair it in, told the waiter/waitress straight away...at this point I just had one starter and ready to go home....the waitress/waiter couldn't even be bothered to come around the table to take our orders so we had to shout...also when they were giving out food they couldn't be bothered to walk round to each one of us...they think we have long arms ..the manager did give us £40 off our bill after several minutes of arguing with him!! This is easy for me....I will not be coming back...
