The Artisan Boutique & Kitchen — Restaurant in Stafford

We have coming to the Artisan Cafe for a very long time and have always had a great experience but sadly today was not quite as good. Coffee fabulous, breakfast good ( but we did feel the toast and mushrooms should have 2 slaces of toast ) BUT the dishes were all left on the table and we were having more drinks with no room to put them down. Having asked if the table could be cleared in a pleasant way, I was sharply told that the tables are not cleared untill we leave. Never been expected to enjoy more drinks with a pile of dishes on the table. The young lady who brought the drinks, kindly cleared the dishe away. Having had the response we had I did not feel comfortable voicing my feelings at the time. We love coming to Arisan and have brought many friends and don't want things to be spoilt for...

The cafe was clean and well presented and the staff are excellent however the food is over priced and a bland. I had the eggs benedict, the eggs were cooked perfectly however hollandaise sauce was tasteless and the presentation didn't justify the £8.50 cost. There wasn't any garnish/rocket to balance the flavours and it was served with bacon rather than honey roast ham. It was a plate of beige. My friend had the Rarebit which again the presentation was very beige and unappetising. If you're spending £6 on cheese on toast at least make it look like £6 worth. The flat bread was very small for £8 and about the size of a pop tart. The taste was nice but very small serving size. If you desire a ‘toasty’ to satisfy those tastebuds and bellies I highly recommend them. Most delicious of ‘easy’ fayre to prepare & yet so many get it wrong. Not Artisan Kitchen however….delicious coated in yummy cheese. Would be improper to not add a side of chunky chips! Great asset to Stone high street which is sadly being overtaken by some less desirable barbers/vape shops/mini marts.
