Originally lived in Stoke until moving to London in 2019, so when I need a home comfort I'll order from Poveys or my parents have bought me some for home delivery. First time of ordering them myself and looking forward to making some for breakfast tomorrow. So glad to see that I can also order the High Lane oatcakes as well as that used to be my closest/local from home so will give that a go next time. Delivery was speedy and reasonable and I'm excited to try the mix as well! Also, the handwritten note and little smiley person was such a great addition, thank you!

Iā€™ve been buying poveys oatcakes for years and always enjoyed them. So the other day I decided to have a drive out to the actual shop in Biddulph as you canā€™t beat fresh from ā€œthe premisesā€. I purchased a dozen oatcakes for my family and to my horror there were dots of GREEN MOULD on most of them in my packet (even after being stored in a cool dry place). Iā€™m very dissatisfied and very disappointed as youā€™d expect this not to happen considering coming straight from the shop. I purchased these on the Tuesday and by the Thursday noticed the GREEN MOULD.

I save them for a Sunday breakfast treat with the usual cheese, bacon and sausage fillings. My freezer is full again and I can look forward to weeks of oatcake brunches to come šŸ˜€

Absolutely delicious. As an ex-pat pottery lad now living in London, I have a yearning for good old Staffordshire Oatcakes. I know a shop in Borough Market and Neal's Yard that sells them, but they sell out quickly and it is a hassle travelling into central London to buy them. So, this year I began buying online. I ordered some from a previous supplier and wasn't impressed, But then I found Poveys' and ordered from them. The Oatcakes arrived bang on time, one day after ordering, and, they are the best I have tasted since leaving Wolstanton in 1977. Their consistency is just right, they have a great flavour, and they genuinely bring back childhood memories of going to the oatcake shop on Sunday mornings and coming home with them warm to mop up the bacon and eggs with! If you are looking to buy oatcakes online and want the authentic flavour with extremely speedy service I cannot recommend Povey's...

Often use Povey's for delivery. Good quality oatcake. Savoury and sweet fillings šŸ™Œ and a weekend favourite. Thank you Alex and team. One issue on our most recent delivery through DPD was the delivery arrived a day late (Thursday evening) despite being local to home and being in DPD depot on due agreed delivery date (Wednesday). This is not a complaint of Povey's as they dispatched on his agreed date. Also delivery bag was way too big for the contents so they moved around too much in transit.

Will always use Povey's for delivery if we are not visiting SoT. Their 5 dozen deal is...
