Disappointing. I feel this restaurant can be much better with some improvement. The food here is very good and is commendable but a restaurant shouldn't be judged on the strength of its food alone. The front of house service and facilities need to be improved. I experienced a lack of respect for the customer.
Having researched this restaurant I saw they put a lot of effort into the food they serve, the ingredients and the preparation. If they can translate this attitude across to the front of house service and facilities then it'd be great.
The first point that needs addressing is the 'naan deception' that we experienced. You order one garlic naan you expect a whole garlic naan, correct? Not here, half a naan qualifies as an order of naan. Consider each 'naan' is £3.50. I've seen this trick pulled at other restaurants, it's a shameful ploy to make money and shows a lack of respect for the customer. I'm not sure where this attitude originates from but deceiving customers is certainly not an attitude that should continue.
Some of the waiters are surly and impolite. I wasn't expecting to be treated like a king but some acknowledgement and politeness would be good.
The toilet facilities are unclean and seemingly uncared for. The main restaurant is decorated to a good standard but it appears that they didn't invest in the toilet facilities in the same way. There were pools of 'liquid' around the toilet bowl and a smell of damp. This isn't entirely the fault of the restaurant but there is still a duty to maintain the facilities to a good standard which they aren't.
The restaurant was stuffy. Just needs some ventilation to make the environment more comfortable during full service as there were a lot of customers and hot dishes. There were aircon units but they weren't in operation, perhaps they...
Read moreI am not sure where to start poor is a generous way to describe my evening. There were only a few tables dining in but every few minutes takeaways we’re coming out of the kitchen clearly very busy for takeaway and not able to look after guests in the restaurant. It was so cold everyone was wearing coats to eat a meal. Service shocking missing starters and wrong starters took 1 hour mains cold and not as expected missing one main and 15 minutes later they sent out deep fried chicken and chips not what was ordered and had the cheek to add this to the bill. Final straw 2 hours and 20minutes later after requesting the bill several times the manager apparently had the audacity to tell us where we went wrong and that she had a sore throat so was not very present in the restaurant. Table next to us left before eating and others sending cold food back. Needless to say despite several very good takeaways from hear we will never return. Poor management of our feedback and nothing reflected in the bill except a portion of chicken wings we had to take away with us due to how...
