Absolutely fabulous Sicilian cafe in Cheadle. I think the price of the food undermines how good it is, with it being a lot less than what would be charged for a full meal anywhere else in Cheadle or the surrounding area but the quality makes it way up at the top with the best. With many authentic ingredients and as much as possible sourced locally, everything is super fresh and delightful.
There is Italian classic like spaghetti bolognese and fantastic carbonara, as well as the specialty dishes form Sicily, like pork and nduja pasta, creamy chicken and veg pasta, and cooled roast beef (cooked to perfection) in the Italian style.
We were also impressed with the selection of Italian treats, including traditionally made cannoli and sweet pasties. I tried a couple of things I would not usually try and was so impressed by everything.
Sweet milkshakes are also on offer with real blended fruit and hand-whipped cream, as well as smoothies with uniquely chosen ingredients
There are specials available daily too.
Chef, William is delightful and always eager to talk about his dishes and their history to anyone who asks or shows interest. A really warm, family orientated and friendly little place.
We took babies and children and the place is so child and family friendly. I have also been with friends and partner and had a fabulous time.
Everything we could hope for and so affordableâŠagain, too cheap for the quality, with many specialty ingredients coming directly from Italy! We had main, dessert and big smoothie/milkshake for under...
Read moreJust brilliant. The food is delicious with top quality ingredients and they do the best hangover sausage, bacon and egg sandwich for miles. Their toasties are thick, loaded and crunchy and Ryan the owner even makes his own tray bake cakes. The raspberry jam and crunchy cornflake ones are our favourite. He also makes an out of this world Flat White!
There are quite a giant corporate sharks swimming around Cheadle now like Starbucks and Greggs and that's why it's so important to protect and support places like Jackson's. Not just because of the principal of standing up for the little guy but more because the food and coffee at Jackson's literally p**ses on anything Starbucks, Gregg's or Costa churn out. And that's not a biased opinion just because we live in the area, it is an actual fact you can discover for yourself. Keep up the...
Read moreWow ! Homemade authentic Italian Soup âŠ. like the infamous New York, New York song, it was So Good, I had it twice đđ ! Well to be honest, I deliberately drove through Cheadle the next day so I could order the Squash Soup again. There is always a warm welcome from this lovely Sicilian family. The menu options are varied (traditional breakfast, brunch, vegetarian) although the homemade Italian dishes (especially the Pasta) are my favourites. Also, the cakes are delicious (homemade) and the coffee is perfection. Everything is prepared freshly and âtweakedâ to individual needs i.e. Iâm not a big fan of too much cheese (sorry guys but I do like basil and olives !) Always so kind and a great family atmosphere. Above all, simply terrific food - thank you guys...
