Ladybrook — Restaurant in Stockport

I simply cannot rate the Ladybrook highly enough! We had visited a couple of times previously and as well as really enjoying the food we've been really impressed with the genuinely lovely service and friendlyness of the staff. We had booked for Christmas day lunch but unfortunately my mother was taken into hospital prior to Christmas and was in there for 10 days so we could not make it. When she came out yesterday, I booked to table for today, 1st January. The manager, Scott, especially was so kind and completely replicated Christmas day for us with a lovely Christmas table setting and Christmas meal. It was so lovely for me to recreate that, especially for my mum, but also from myself as I couldn't really celebrate until she was home and well. The meal was absolutely amazing and the staff were so kind and accommodating. It may have been New Year's Day for everybody else but for us it was a very special Christmas Day! Highly recommended . Very below standard in every way. After waiting 40 minutes after ordering food I asked staff is there an issue with my order. Only to be told Chef gone for break hence delay and would be 10 more minutes. We had drank our drinks so asked for a refund. No one came to communicate the above issues. No free drink offered for excessive wait. No one else was eating. Staff had a not bothered persona. Money was return back - £4.40 which I questioned as we had only had lime and soda, little did I know the initial price. I questioned this £2-20 charge per drink only to be told this is the price. To which I said bring back the golden hind.as I had never recieved that service from there. DANNY knew the importance of customer care. The prices at Ladybrook inconsiderable higher with such poor customer care. I won't be returning.

Darren, and the team, at The Ladybook, hosted a wake for our family and friends today... around 40 people. The planning beforehand with Pat and Darren, was caring and considerate, helping the family with a screen tribute to the deceased, and looking after the mourners with consideration and respect. The food was plentiful and varied and appreciated by all the guests, which were of varying ages and those who had differing dietary requirements. Service was excellent and all the staff played a part in making a difficult day as smooth as it could have been. Again, Pat was front and centre making sure the wake area was tidy and enjoyable for all. Thank you again to all the team for making a difficult day memorable and special.
