Spice Room, Indian Takeaway, Bramhall — Restaurant in Stockport

Last week I received a menu through the door so I thought I would try a spice room takeaway on Saturday eve. I ordered the spicy liver. Brinjal bhaji. Jingra Sarsoon and Khasi Ko Bhutuwa with lamb. All was very tasty and I would be tempted to order from you again apart from one fundamental issue. All dishes were excessively swimming in oil. The main dishes in particular. So much so that when though i drained the majority of oil off dishes that each bite, onions. Peppers, lamb etc...were still oozing and saturated in oil, which made for an unpleasant experience. I do not usually complain but in this instance I thought I would let you know of my experience. I felt that yet another £30 has been thrown away! I walked in to order a takeout. Place was super busy with sit downs and with one waiter looking a little stressed. He asked what I wanted, then immediately went back to put menus on a table before returning to write down my order. When it came to pay, I tapped contactless but turned out the payment machine wasn’t working (due to internet connectivity). I was asked if I had cash - I said I didn’t. The waiter said he was very busy as though that was my fault. He kept asking if I had cash. In the end I left after cancelling my order. He didn’t seem bothered and I got no apology. Food is fantastic and the staff are great. We go as a family and always have a fantastic time, especially as it’s a BYO. My personal favourites are the spicy liver starter and the afgani boti kebab main course. But there again I’ve tried many items from the menu over the years and they’ve all been really good. Highly...
