Lord'a'mercy......this place a little hype about it recently, being the foodies we are, myself and partner visited there and could instantly see why.....lovely greeting traditional Jamaican style ( and I don't mean the rude look and "wa yu waant?")...more of a all smiles "how you doing my lovely people? It was if we'd been going there for years despite being our first visit. Speaking with Mama Flo and her team, the passion and love ❤️ for their cooking is clear to see. I chose the brown stew (one of my favourite dishes) and just like my grandma used to make...I pretty much inhaled it ha ha. My partner chose the jerk chicken, which had been cooked over hot coal and with a real kick to it. Absolutely loved it and is now my favourite Caribbean, so much so...I'm willing to take my grandad there to eat, which is a big deal (fussy old Jamaican man 🤣). Over in Manchester again and will be visiting again.

Sadly the food here was awful- being Jamaican I have to say this is really not traditional Jamaican food. I could not believe the curry chicken when I saw it- literally just pieces of chicken in curry powder stained oil. I can only imagine the high reviews are from those that aren’t familiar with authentic Caribbean cuisine but even the taste of the couple of things I did try just wasn’t right and we couldn’t eat any of it. We only tried it as our usual was closed that day. They were friendly enough but absolutely let down by the food.

Jamaican sensation!!!!!!!! I have past this place several times and never went in. Recently though I saw a few video reviews of Mama Flo's and thought "I must try this out". Wishing I did a lot sooner. I chose curried goat on this occasion (see attached picture). It was really good and well worth it's price. I definitely will be coming back again. If you haven't tried mama flos then do. Flo has a passion for what she does and you can see that in the food but also her customer service, always smiling with a warm welcome to all.

What a superb place this is! No wonder multi premier league winning stars like Kyle Walker love it. There is also a photo of a lesser light of the footballing world, who plays for the team that used to be good decades ago, from outside the city, salford way, Harold MacQuire is it. It would be fabulous food at any price, but it is amazing value for the stunning flavoursome deliciousness and quality. I had 2 lamb chops for a fiver. The meat fell off the bone and the flavour was to die for. Oh My Days... sensational. 10 outta 10. I also had pasties of jerk chicken, beef and lamb. I dipped them in the jerk sauce that was so warm and flavoursome. Properly mind blowing food. The magical lady is an angel without wings but a true angel providing nourishment to mind body and soul with her truly wonderful Quality Jamaican Food! Let Jah provide the bread and let's dip it in the warm heavenly...

Absolutely appalling customer service!

I placed an order through ubereats, I ordered a large curried coat with rice and a large BBQ ribs with chips and 2 dumplings. When the food arrived the portions were small even though I paid for large! The goat curry had leaked in to the bag.... the chips were cold and soggy and the rice was stale!! The BBQ ribs were vile! ÂŁ8.50 for a small fatty piece of rib!

When I rang the takeaway the lady was rude raising her voice she said she pack it and it was all fine when she gave it to the delivery driver she was basically calling me a liar. She refuse to do anything about it and wouldn't send anything out. So it all went in the bin and to pay for ANOTHER takeout!

Will be never ordering from here again just wasted my money for poor quality, poor customer service. Don't waste your...
