I ate here as part of a large party. We received exquisite service and the food was fantastic! I didn’t get her name but the waitress with the australian accent was a standout member of staff. The vegetarian and vegan options available on their three course menu all sounded superb. I had the leek and potato soup which tasted exactly how my mum has always made it, but came with warm cheese scones!! 😍 The bombay inspired cauliflower pie was sensational with a spicey gravy sauce. And to finish off a spectacular sticky toffee sponge which they kindly swapped the custard for ice cream for me 🤩

Absolutely love this place. We've had so many great meals here from the regular menu and the many specials they do. The Sunday roast is amazing. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming. Highly recommended. Been again today and the food was as incredible as ever but just a warning, the drinks prices have gone up! £36 for a bottle of fizz and £11 for a large glass of wine is very expensive. Our Wednesday lunch for 2 would have been over £90 without the 20% discount, but was still £73. For 2 courses and 1 dessert plus drinks it was quite a dear do, but can't fault the food and service.

Almost everything was perfect, even most of the staff were really lovely and friendly. However the one older lady seemed to have a grump on. I somehow annoyed her by asking for water (I have an oesophagus condition and can't swallow food without drink to push it down so I need two pints) and I don't think being so easily and obviously annoyed is a good trait for a service position as much as I appreciate how annoying customers can be at times.

This review is really just about the quality of the cask bitter. My impression is that the food is the main driver, the updated conservatory is beautiful. I have been in twice recently & on both occasions I was very disappointed with the beer quality. The first time the member of staff I could hear struggling to pull the pint, & I was immediately suspicious. The pint I was handed was clearly from the end of the barrel, it was cloudy & had the off smell. I pointed out that this was not right & reluctantly the pint was changed but clearly the staff had not wanted to change the barrel. Second visit the barrel had to be changed again & I don't believe in coincidences. It's a pub I want to be successfu! The food looks fabulous & it's busy with diners However with a small choice on cask beers they need to be right! Clearly I did mention to the staff but twice at...

Thankfully I can give zero stars - because that’s what this joke of a pub deserves.

Food hugely over priced - I think they think they’re in Manchester City centre or the botanist in Alderly Edge.

And they are far far far from it. Big pretenders. Manager is throws her weight around , and knows jack about customer service. Too busy pretending to work.

I’ve been going for years , never again , not that they need more customers now considering the price of their menu ! They can stay a float with a hand full.

If you like over priced, frozen , oven cooked food , that takes 45 minutes with a side of foul faced management - then this is your joint.

Avoid the king prawns if you do go - as they’re barley prawns and charge £9 for a pretentious portion that tastes like Iceland’s gino decampos line - (ginos are...

.Myself, Girlfriend and our combined 4 kids went today for a late lunch, our first full team outing in a long while ! Most of us had the featherblade which was amazing the two girls had something off the kids menu both enjoyed what they had. Service was brilliant really liking the new beer garden can't wait to see the new inside soon.

Been here many times now and the Sunday roast is amazing especially the lamb. Service is always superb, one of our favourite places to eat.

Went in Thursday with a friend and had the steak and Ale pie with mash , I have to say probably the best pie I've had in years. The gravy, mash and greens are all amazing. Great service again and to top if off the bill is 25% cheaper on a Thursday. We will be back probably...
