Sadagar Balti Restaurant — Restaurant in Stockport

Not too happy with my experience here recently. Absolutely no social distancing adhered to inside. Tables were very close together. The next table to me were six guys obviously from different families who came in with no masks and were sat so close my elbow was nearly touching them. I was never asked for any contact details when I booked or when I arrived. One of the waiters wore his mask under his chin for the whole time I was there. Before the party next to me sat down he wiped the table with a cloth he had been carrying round and had used to wipe over other tables with no apparent use of disinfectant at any time. I felt uncomfortable with the cleanliness and lack of hygiene here under the current circumstances. The food itself was alright but nothing that would bring me back again...

Ordered chicken garlic balti, it came out and it looked like sick, tasted like it had come out of a jar, it’s was just sauce and chicken. No onions or chilli’s nothing.I have had many of jar curry’s at home and most of them leave a tangy taste, it tasted like a Sharwoods curry sauce and they have just added chicken tikka to it. You can’t even sit down and take your coat off before they are asking you what drinks you want, very rushed and very quick from serving popadom, starters and then to mains. Very quick to take the menu away. They stand and stare a lot, come over multiple times whilst eating never again. Oh and then you get a dirty look when you don’t leave a tip. My family and I have been coming here since the 1980s, usually always good food we travel from the Warrington area as we moved away some years ago.

Our visit today however was so disappointing there were 5 adults and a child for the Sunday buffet, we were charged £12.80 for 3 lime and sodas a tap water and a Tesco fruit shoot!! We all ate the Sunday menu but that was not as good as usual due to the food not being readily available we were having to ask for items as it had ran out.

Usually faultless dining experience but today Sadagar you failed.

Two days after three of the party have all been vomiting and to this end we will never come to this establishment again. Mr Mere has been let down...
