BRITANNIA CAFE HOUSE LIMITED. — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

Food here is cheap and cheerful. Great example of a "Greasy Spoon" The decor is cheerful and at first glance is clean. However the tables and chairs are worn and tatty which can put you off your food and wonder what the kitchen is like. Menu is easy and clear and indicates to place your order at the counter. I was served by a lady who was very down to earth and seemed cheerful. I didn't see a card machine so I asked and was told they don't accept card payment, however the lady was happy to tell me there was a cash machine next door. After placing the order, it took about 5 minutes for the food to arrive which is ridiculously quick (even for Wetherspoons) and certainly informed me its been microwaved. My food portion was huge and my oatcakes were filled with mushrooms and a thick slice of bacon. The cheese however was packed with grease and gloopy due to it being microwaved. Overall the price for the meal made up for the miserable chairs, tatty tables and greasy pinged oatcakes.

Would I return? No Do I recommend? Yes for a cheap bite and...

It was our first visit to this cafe and I was immediately a bit put off to be served by an assistant that really reeked heavily of cigarettes but she was very friendly and helpful. She took care to customise the menu to accommodate my food allergies. The food arrived really quickly and was served on a platter that would have served 2 or 3 persons. Not sure if it was the lateness if the day, or if it’s normally like this but we weren’t impressed with the quality of the food, as the potatoes in the bubble tasted old and beans were stewed to mush and very discoloured. Although we can understand that there is a need for a cafe like this in Longton, we personally would have preferred smaller portions and fresher, better quality food. Probably will return to our usual...

Hi everyone , i keep coming to britannia for number of reasons first öne iş of course homemade foods at this cafe as always.

i must say İTS getting beter n better every time i come in * * * İ love the way i get served by very polite staff and the owner. There's 2 owners of this cafe. N they both very nice but YALL is the top model of business owner. The way he welcomes you,assist you, looks after you i mean his just brilliant. Very funny fellow. His just the king of all. instead of saying hank you very much He says i love you too 🤗

i highly recommend here to everyone. You must go there and try least once to see what i mean the hospitality food price treatment everythings amazing.
