Shocking service. Ordered a vegetarian brunch meal for myself. The meal for the rest of our party came out a good 15 mins before mine. When mine eventually did come, the meal was cold and my eggs were like rubber, clearly just been sat under the hot lights for an extended period of time. We complained to a staff member who said they would have the meal replaced. After nearly another 20 mins of waiting and clearly everyone else had finished their food, my mum went to the bar to chase it up and was blatantly ignored by a young man who appeared to be a supervisor/manager. She literally had to say to him "am I invisible?". Anyway, whilst she was at the bar speaking to said staff member, my food did come out. Hilariously, it was the exact same plate of food (20 mins later) with the eggs replaced. Clearly just put in the microwave as the beans were seriously congealed and the chips and sausage were dried out. I had had enough by then so we called the supervisor over. His attitude was basically "what do you expect me to do". We had been sat in the pub over an hour now and I still hadn't eaten a thing and we had a long journey ahead and had to get back on the road, so I said I just wanted my money back. The man said fine and took all my food and said he would issue one. Worst thing....I never did get my full refund, he took all the food including the bread and butter I had ordered but never refunded for that. I understand it's just a couple of quid but the...

Terrible customer care and stale food At noon me and my girlfriend visited this place for lunch. There were about 20 tables full out of 50 (approximately). So it wasn't empty but not very busy. We ordered Fish and chips and a triple chicken something. The order arrived within 7-10 minutes. Which is a suspiciously short time but ignored it. The fish was freshly made but the potatoes were stale and the triple chicken was stale rubbery and inedible. Within a minute we called someone over to the table to get the triple chicken which was so hard and rubbery it was like a toy you buy from the kids store, saying the chicken is inedible not fresh and stale, he said ok i see and took it. Mind that the food in the plate was untouched, and him not asking if we wanted a refund or replacement, we assumed (as any normal person would) that he would take it back and make another. We waited 20 minutes for the freshly this time food to arrive. It never did. I went to the counter and asked about the order status. The woman behind the counter went in the kitchen, came back a minute later and asked me if i wanted a replacement food for them to make or a refund and apologized. I asked what happened and she apologized again saying she doesn't know. I asked for a refund and left. Needless to say, this was the last time...

Me, my mum and boyfriend came here recently and never again. Ordered food, my mum ordered a cheese and tomato panini. It came with just tomatoes on it no cheese, (if they did put cheese on it was none existant because they are or look to be the store bought microwavable ones.) My meals as also wrong. Mine came back second time fine, my mums however, instead of correcting the order decided to give her a ham and tomato panini. We complained to another server as the first had gone home. The next server was convinced we originally ordered the ham and tomato, it took a few minutes to explain this was incorrect. She wasn't around when I had even ordered the food. In the end we got a refund, but both paninis presented looked disgusting. I wouldn't of fed it to my dog. The manager who was quite young, as most of the staff don't seem to really care about the job at hand and the manager didn't seem concerned at all that the order was wrong twice. Other weatherspoons seem to be okay when it comes to food, but this one is so dirty and the toilets always smell. If you are however looking for a few cheap beers then I can't complain, just steer clear...
