I Wouldn’t go again.. asked if our hot chocolates could be put into a takeaway cup considering the wasn’t really anywhere to sit (all indoor tables had been occupied) and it was freezing , windy and wet outside so didn’t want to sit out there. A lady came through with our hot chocolates and I asked if I could have them in take away cups instead and she acted like it was absolutely no problem and was pleasant to my face about it but I could see the whole kitchen where I was waiting and she went back through to the kitchen and was pulling a face at a male that was making the drinks and was like smirking and staying stuff about it and all I heard from him was “are you serious” like it’s not hard to pour it in a takeaway cup.. she than came back out with the take away cups and the hot chocolate was cold anyway so we didn’t really enjoy them regardless.. my son did like the cheese toastie so give extra star for that but do feel customer service needs some work.. happy to take £15.40 for two small hot chocolates (mainly was cream and cold) and one cheese toastie but yet give you awful customer service actually turned what was meant to be a pleasant walk with a nice hot drink into an...

Bobby's is a lovely cafe bar in a perfect location - nestled next to the corner of Stratford racecourse at the side of the Greenway. It's a special place to be when the weather is kind. And if it isn't, the train carriage seats and roaring fire will warm your cockles.

Expect homemade food from an inventive menu of lovingly prepared items (no soup and a sandwich or jacket potatoes here) along with a counter of tempting treats including homemade cakes and pastries. The homemade sausage rolls really will take some beating.

I had the Reuben sandwich and it was packed full of fillings and flavour. The chicken Caesar wrap went down well too.

The cafe is licensed so you have the choice of a very decent coffee or a hour pour of something a little stronger like a perfect Bloody Mary or a fruity craft beer.

The service is as warm as the fire, and the team are guaranteed to make you smile. What are you...

It isn't cheap... but it's good value! If you order 'proper food' off the menu, it's not some quick little snack, but akin to what you'll get in a gastro pub. Generous portions of very nicely prepared food, in a beautifully different set of surroundings. They have gone to a lot of trouble in the railway carriage and it's beautiful, and beautifully chilled. My daughter and I sat and admired the surroundings and surveyed the views inside and out while we ate, and had a modest drink or two... If you're ordering for kids, I'd say ask what's 'kid friendly' - the tastes are quite 'grown-up' but I'm sure there's plenty for kids to enjoy too. Staff friendly and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long for...

Really nice place to go for lunch! Seating indoors and outdoors. We sat indoors due to a lot of wasps. The interior was really nice inside and surprisingly it wasn’t hot inside the train considering it was very hot outside. We sat in a booth and all ordered lunch which came to about £13 each. The only disappointment was our meal was meant to come with coleslaw, ours didn’t and we had to ask for it to then be told they didn’t have any. We were offered one small bowl of rocket between 3 of us instead which we thought was a bit of a bizarre substitute. Staff were all friendly though and we’d come again. Food was delicious.

Had a lovely lunch here with a very warm, friendly and helpful server; she offered advice on some tasty menu options depending on our tastes, and we went for a Reuben (toasted) sandwich with skin-on fries (& mushrooms and tomatoes added on) and vegan coleslaw, carrot cake with a “Dirty Chai” (alternative milk options available), and a Fish Butty with fries; also were offered takeaway bag for the cake. Great view of the racecourse and I imagine would be even more stunning on a sunny day; seating indoors and outside under umbrellas or a covered area.

First visit for us on a busy Bank Holiday Monday. Seeking a light brunch we popped in, but the bacon baps had sold out! Instead hubby chose a bacon and cheese croissant (the last piece of bacon for today!) and I opted for toasted banana loaf (home made) to which I added a sausage. Who knew what a delicious combination that would be? A very big cuppa + cider for hubby and we were 2 happy customers. Lovely environment and service from Helen, Dave and their team. So good to see a hard working local business doing such good trade. We’ll be back.
