Pick Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

We are a couple and intend to write an honest review about our experience without emotions affecting our opinions.

After searching Trip Advisor for Thai restaurants we settled upon Pick Thai as our second choice, our first being fully booked. The reviews were good but sadly we found the food missed the mark. We are lucky that we have some amazing Thai restaurants near us but sadly this was no match.

We were seated upstairs in a fairly small room and too close to others for comfort. The waiters were far too eager to serve us standing just a few feet away watching us as we viewed the menus. It was like they wanted us in and out as quick as possible. When booking online it did state that we would have to leave by 9:30 but that was over 90 minutes away.

We started with Chicken Satay and the Duck Spring Roll and it wasn't a bad start no complaints. I then ordered Beef Massaman Curry and my partner had the Beef Pad Khing. We both thought our own was the best but the issue was that it was so bland and the Beef a little chewy, they just lacked flavour which was a shame.

What a luxurious experience in the most casual and authentic restaurant! We felt that we were served the highest quality of food in such an atmospheric and comfortable setting that it was almost like being transported back into our holiday in Thailand many years ago.

I would travel back into Stratford just to eat here again. We cannot recommend it enough—it’s such a warm and inviting place with the friendliest, most attentive staff.

I knew I was making the right decision bringing my family to a family-owned restaurant! Anywhere I go, the food is always better when it’s not some random franchise, but my family never believes me! This restaurant helped changed their minds as they absolutely blew it out the park for us ;)

I had an incredible experience here! The food was absolutely amazing—flavorful, fresh, and authentically prepared. Every dish was perfectly balanced with the right amount of spice, and the variety on the menu ensured there was something for everyone. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was delicious.
