Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

Visited this morning Not abiding by covid cleaning regulations. Every other Costa I have been to since covid has started is usually really strict on it’s seating policy of waiting till they disinfected the tables before sitting down. Today I was slightly appalled at the lack of cleaning going on in which essentially a pandemic still, I had to go find someone to clear and clean the table after waiting for a few minutes as the manager was speaking to her in the back, she then went away again to talk to him (don’t know if it was a catch up or what but if it’s busy you wait till nearer the end of the day) there was a table that had sat from when I arrived till leaving 45 minutes later that was still waiting to be cleared. I didn’t bother going into the toilets as I was slightly disgusted at the fact a couple of people just moved the stuff and sat down. There were two people working behind the counter who were confused when my husband asked for one portion of white toast and one portion of brown as she went to only put one slice of each bread in, even in London the most expensive place I’ve ever purchased a Costa a portion is two slices! Going back to the possible manager in the back sitting down what looked to be paperwork or a meeting with colleague, I’m friendly with my local Costa coffee shop as we are in there a few times w week, never have I ever seen the manager sitting in the back room not helping whilst staff at the front of shop are overwhelmed by trying to fulfil orders and a dirty shop. As a self-proclaimed coffee aficionado in the UK, I can confidently say that Costa Coffee consistently delivers the best coffee experience out of all the major chains, and it's undoubtedly my favourite. For me, it's about the consistent quality and the rich, smooth flavour of their brews. Whether it's a classic Flat White, a robust Americano, or a comforting Latte, I always find their coffee hits the spot. There's a depth to their flavour that I just don't find replicated elsewhere on the high street. Beyond the coffee itself, the atmosphere in most Costas is just right – welcoming and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends, get some work done, or simply enjoy a moment of peace with a great cup. The staff are generally efficient and friendly too, adding to the overall positive experience. While there are many coffee options out there, for a consistently excellent and deeply satisfying cup of coffee in the UK, Costa remains my absolute top choice. It truly stands out...

As Costa did not respond to my complaint made on 17 th nov20 I thought that I may as well put it on there review page , only got a star as no option for none ;

Dear sir or madam As a regular customer of costa coffee I was devalued and made to feel unwanted as a customer this morning after visiting the branch in Stratford upon Avon maybird retail park today , I arrived as usual for my morning coffee at 7.40 and was told by the male barista that they are closed and will not be opening until 8 am, I was then appauled to see customers waiting for drinks not 5 minutes later, I then went into the shop again at 7.45 and had to wait for a drink I would have ordered earlier , the staff lied to me and made me feel unworthy of service I'm disgusted with such a poor level of customer service , I look forward to hearing back from you to explain why staff thought that this was acceptable...
