Escape Live Stratford – What an incredible experience!

Well, what can I say? What an absolutely amazing place. We booked it for four of us — and even though my wife isn’t usually a fan of escape rooms, I’ve never seen her get so involved and enjoy herself this much!

The staff were fantastic from start to finish — friendly, passionate, and really made the whole experience feel special. The first room we tried, Chariot, was abstract, clever, and full of surprises. We got pretty far, but didn’t quite complete it.

As we were leaving, they kindly offered us the chance to try the Shakespeare Script room for half price — which was such a lovely touch. Both rooms had costumes to wear, which added a fun and theatrical twist. We laughed the whole way through and couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards.

RIP OFF. Price charged on number of players, even though it is just the same activity regardless to how many play. £50 for 2 people or £90 for 5 people, I would say probably worth a maximum of £30 per game, Most boring hour I have spent in a long time, and I have spent a lot of boring hours in my time. I think the room must have cost about £5.50 to kit out. Small, barren and dingy, and cheaply kit out with a few ornaments which look like they were bought in a bric-a-brac sale. Yes we escaped, but in reality unless we were given lots of direction by games leader we would still be in there until a week after hell freezes over. Having such ridiculously cryptic clues all but made it impossible without lots of help, and therefore zero satisfaction in 'escaping'. Don't waste your...

This is one of the most themed and immersive rooms of them all. There’s wands, wizards, dragons and creatures awaiting you. And the puzzles are really varied and clever to put all skills to the test.

We were so close to escaping but just ran out of time.

We had an evening slot and went down to the new Bell Court area for food after the game, which was about a 2 minute walk away. Would be great at any time of day whether heading to Stratford during the day and popping in for an escape room for an hour, or in the evening and then heading off for food afterwards.
