Greggs — Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

This was the first time that we ( the wife and I ) had used this particular Greggs at the Maybird Centre in Stratford Upon Avon and sadly it will be our last visit. The staff in all honesty were not very friendly ( yes they do work hard ) and the seating and table tops where we sat were at best (dirty ) with what appeared to be a mixture of crumbs from previous visitors. My charred chicken sandwich was or would have been nice but for the honey mustard dressing which tasted awful and the wife ( after a 5 minute wait ) had a steak bake which was burning hot and only contained 1 piece of diced meat. Hopefully this place can improve as we have always loved our visits to other Greggs. One Greggs in particular for example is one in Kinwarton on the Arden Forest industrial estate. Long queue for disappointing food, ordered the bacon roll / coffee deal, super cheap, but not great, ordered specifically without butter, but came with. I took it back and got it replaced with no fuss.

However, he took my food back from me, took money off another customer, then made my replacement with the bun in his hand, no glove no hand washing.

I decided against making a scene, but binned the roll outside, in these C19 pandemic times this service was very disappointing.

In the servers defence, there was a queue of about 10 people and a constant stream of just eat or uber deliverers to deal with as well.

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt Greg's to put an extra member of staff on at busy times or suspended online ordering to give the guy a bit more time to stick to...
