Cafe K9 — Restaurant in Sunderland

My family go on the Sunday morning walk weekly and really enjoy it, so I went along on Sunday and carried my 10 week old puppy to get him used to socialising with both people and the noises of other dogs before he is allowed to interact with them properly. It was a great turn out and everybody was really friendly and all dogs well behaved. We ordered our breakfast before the walk and it was ready for us arriving back at the cafe, as my puppy is greedy and obviously had to stay on my knee for a little while longer one of the workers offered to carry him whilst i was eating which i thought was lovely! He took him around all the other dogs and my puppy loved it, much better than sitting on my knee! The bacon sandwich was huge and the hot chocolate amazing. I purchased a harness and lead for my puppy whilst there and cant wait to use it! I will be a regular on these morning works - carrying him for a few more weeks and cant wait for when he can walk and play with all the other dogs and i will also be attending the puppy classes as soon as he is able to. there was a grey dog running around and snarling at other dogs, yet MY staffy who was playing nicely and sharing toys was denied to ever come back because of his breed? pure bred staffy! no bull cross, just pure staffy. Even if he was, whos to say a certain breed of every dog is aggressive? My brown staffy played lovely with the other dogs and the customers loved him, yet the worker forbid that he ever come back (again,because of his breed) and also said he thinks that this isnt the place for him and to take him somewhere else because his breed can be “unpredictable”. Absolutely no supervision for offlead dogs which has lead to an attack on my already disabled puppy. I rang them to let them know what happened after leaving to get my dog checked out and the owner seemed completely uninterested but did say he would look into what happened. After 24 hours I've been completely ignored and nothing has been done. They are very lucky the injuries weren't serious or that this didn't happen to a small child.
