Cafe De Ville — Restaurant in Surrey Heath

Camberley has always lacked a true decent independent cafe. Certainly one that serves food that is quality and fresh.

This has filled the void. To my knowledge owned by a local family who have had some experience in the food trade.

Atmosphere is relaxed and informal but still has a class that will suit those romantic date evenings once the pizzeria element opens its doors. It certainly leans towards an Italian influence but still very much diverse in the food it serves.

At the moment it’s serving breakfast and lunch. I have sampled close to all the menu so far and have been very impressed particularly with the quality. The sandwiches are loaded and filled with flavour. Breakfast dishes have a homemade feel, the hash browns with eggs and cheese sauce has been a surprise favourite. There has been some small inconsistencies with what is served, for example one day I was served two sausages with the full English and then one the next. This is minor detail and is continually improving.

I do have one main gripe and that is the coffee is currently not great, and for many that will be fine. For those that love their coffee at the moment it’s not the strongest point. I would love to see a change in the quality of beans to true speciality and better training for the staff (I believe the latter may be happening).

Now I have a sweet tooth and love a good cake so it’s great to see a small selection but I would say it could be better. But with limited space and probably not being a priority currently I understand this. Hint, Duo Delights are down the road ;)

I haven’t had a beer here yet, but they already serve the best beer in Camberley as they have Big Smoke on tap. Looking forward to that with a pizza.

Service is again relaxed but professional. There is some outside seating and parking is available to the rear or on the road.

I am looking forward to more from Cafe De Ville, I will be down asap once the pizzeria opens :) I hope their early success continues, it’s amazing to finally have somewhere like this to enjoy good food...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe De Ville, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a charming decor that makes you feel right at home. The seating is comfortable, and the place is impeccably clean. Perfect for a family dinner or a casual hangout with friends. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and prompt service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The star of the show was, of course, the pizza. We ordered the Margherita and the Pepperoni Special, and both were absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. My experience here was fabulous. We entered the cafe and the music was soft and comforting, the environment was warm and calming. We were then greeted by one of the waiters, she gave us the menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Even though the menu had few simple options, it still felt like there were lots to choose from, with also other food options on the walls, like their specials of the week and their signature dishes. They also have a takeaway specific menu, which there were lots of great dishes to choose from. We chose our foods, the waiter asked how we wanted our eggs. The food arrived not too long after, considering we ordered four dishes. The food was warm and well made, and a pleasure to look at. It was absolutely fantastic, the taste was impeccable and definitely one the best places I’ve had breakfast at. Everyone around us was happy and seemed to be having a great time.
