The Four Horseshoes — Restaurant in Surrey Heath

Great pub, great hosts. Chatty, friendly and the food was excellent. Can't recommend highly enough! Finally made it back to this delightful pub. Not sure if it's changed hands but it's not quite the same. It was relatively busy (7pm on a Monday evening) and whilst the barmaid was pleasant, she was very stressed. The other barmaid kept popping in and out, sorting food orders I believe. When we got our drinks, I had to clear a table to sit down. The wine was lovely. Sadly the tables near us were full of very loud people. So much so that we couldn't hear each other across the table. When I asked them to be a little quieter they were not impressed. We found a 'quieter' table and were joined by another couple experiencing the same issue. It's a pub I hear you say but no need for screeching at the top of your voices and every other word a swear word. I will venture back but hope that the noise levels are somewhat less. I came in on a Sunday and had a lovely roast dinner it was fantastic. service was above and beyond a lovely roast beef with all the trimmings and a cinnamon roll for pudding. A wide selection of drinks. And the lady who served me was Stephanie the landlady she was very knowledgeable on all drinks and food the music playing was nice and chilled lots of different sports on the TVs and posters around advertising upcoming games. Free internet they offer which was easy to do a nice outside area and free car park drinks offers on display I signed up for my pub perks card I saw the advert poster for Facebook so I liked and followed. Rude staff. Terrible experience.

I came here to play poker a while back. When I tried to return a second time the next week I was refused a place when I got here, even after signing up well in advance on their Facebook page and before it was even half full. The owner was rude, arrogant and didn't even apologize. I was ditched instead for someone else who signed up way after me who they wanted to play instead of me.

In addition, the owner was very rude about his dog, be careful when even thinking of stroking it.

Not much can be said for the over priced and stale food and drink either. So this is a 1 star from me.

P.S - I managed to find a much better place to play poker at a more local pub. :)
