Rosso Mazara — Restaurant in Surrey Heath

Stunning food; awesome atmosphere; lovely staff. Attentive, without being too 'in your face ' they were prepared to modify ingredients to individuals taste, to a degree. Went there for a Mother's Day treat for Mum, and all 4 of us really enjoyed everything we had!! Only, truly minor niggle, was when my meal arrived replete with black olives in the sauce! Watress was really not happy when she realised, as I'd checked first with her if it coukd be had without the olives. Was told yes, no problem; happily they were whole, black olives, so ridding them to step dad's plate was easy. His liver was brilliant, Mum's pizza was ace, wife's pasta w/chicken n spinach was brilliant; my chicken with dolce latte n Nduja sauce was delicious. We'll definitely be returning. We had a fantastic dinner at Rosso Mazara. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely outstanding: we started with the sautéed mussels, followed by spaghetti with red Sicilian prawns, both cooked to perfection and full of authentic flavor. To finish, the freshly filled cannoli were simply amazing—probably the best I’ve had in a long time.

Usually good food, but I don’t know what has happened the last few times I have visited Rosso Mazara, I have not been satisfied with the food and the quality. Pasta has been over cooked, bland and tasteless, and I find that the portion sizes are inconsistent, one time the portions would be generous, the next it would seem like they’re running out of food.
