The worst case of dinning tables NOT being cleared and cleaned. During two visits, my wife and I had to clear the seating area and clean the table, three times, having felt forced to move to another table due to a group of loud, immature, males revelling about their sexploits and one bosting about "shitting" himself due to being so drunk. I took my complaints to the staff (young, and evidently without Customer Service training) including the Manager, when I was subsequently denied further drink service, bebause I was "slurring" my words. I am Autistic, and due to my Autism, I became increasingly stressed and frustrated. The staff, not least the Manager, were NOT nearly understanding, empathetic nor compassionate. As a result I was arrested. I was acquitted of all wrong doing, yet despite complaining to the Whetherspoons Customer Services, I have only been told I'm not welcome at this establishment, and again, not a single word of understanding, empathy nor compassion. I was at fault for my reaction to their appalling Customer Service and overall bigoted behaviours. As a non-local, I DO NOT recommend anyone to visit this, nor any, Wetherspoon's establishment. The Customer Focus and Services by their own said department,...
Read moreI've always been hopeful when going to a Wetherspoons. You expect good service, cheap drinks and lots of hotties, but this was not the case. The Camberley Claude Du Vall was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival we were quick to realise we were the only hotties in the joint, this lead to us being absolutely ravaged by the local females, which i was not pleased with as i am in a committed relationship with a supermodel. The staff did nothing to help us, we asked for paper bags to place over our heads, but they had none. We then attempted to order our drinks, and this took a whole half an hour. We stood at the bar, propping it up like the lads we are, but after 20 minutes of not being served, my legs completely seized up and i had to call my physio to come and stretch me out so i could walk back to my table and drink my drink. To add insult to injury, the table was not big enough to fit the 24 pitchers of WooWoo i brought. The only positive from this evening i could take is that they were looking out for the environment and no longer using...
Read moreI want to give this place a 4 âď¸ review as itâs not bad value when you buy food + a drink inc, but unfortunately a few things let the side down a little - so a 3 âď¸ it is.
I had quite a long wait for my food, in the time it took I had a 27 min phone call plus at least another 15 mins, so around 45 min wait for Gammon egg & chips is a bit long. Granted it was half-term but the pub wasnât that busy. The waitress did apologise for the wait which was accepted, just a good thing I wasnât in a rush that particular day!
The Gammon could of been better quality. I get itâs budget food but I think they are making cut backs which makes me question if Iâd rather just go elsewhere.
The pub needs a re-fit. Aside from being worn, it feels dated but not in a good âpub wayâ. My table was sticky, menus were very sticky and I had several flys whizzing around me (in February!) which no matter how cheap the food is thatâs the last...
