Zeus Greek Cuisine Takeaway — Restaurant in Surrey Heath

Food never arrived Ordered as positive reviews and restaurant said 15mins delivery Once ordered it changed to 2hours! Instantly rang to cancel if this was the case, was told "oh the food has left and will be delivered" 30mins, no food. Spoke to deliveroo, who contacted the restaurant, who conveyed "10-15mins max as its on the way" No food arrived, tried calling every few mins for another hour, but it kept going to voicemail. Deliveroo tried calling and got the same. Deliveroo also couldnt refund as they couldnt get a hold of the restaurant. They also said as the restaurant said 2hours on order placement (after their original 15mins) I had to wait till then Finally got through on the phone just before the 2hour window was up, just to be told "oh deliveroo told us to cancel the order". Deliveroo deny this, whilst also the same person on the phone said my food left 90mins ago on point 2... someone is lying! Deliveroo then rang, found out it was cancelled and voided my order So 2 hours later, I am left hungry and I wasted 2 hours of my life fighting for a refund due to both this restaurant's and deliveroo's incompetence and lies.

Do yourself a favour and avoid. Every 1 star review complains of the exact same thing I am doing. They take your order and do not deliver on time and its near impossible to get through on the phone as they seem to leave it off the hook! A shame as the reviews indicate the food is good (are these even real reviews?) but we'll never know!

Will be reporting this experience on all my socials/community groups so that everyone in the local area knows to avoid this...

Stumbled across Zeus late Sunday evening after a long day of driving. When we went in, they said they were about to close but they had some chicken & pork that we could have. We were absolutely delighted! We were then introduced to both of the chaps in there, Nick & Nikos. We had a wonderful chat with them whilst they were preparing our food - especially given that my missus & I both love cooking. They talked us through what Greek drinks they had, and my goodness, the lemon drink was to die for!

We then raced home to eat our food whilst it was still hot, and my goodness...it was gyros from heaven! Loved the food so much that we actually went back there last night to sit in and have our second portion in as many days. This time, we had the halloumi with warm pitta and tzatziki as a starter alongside the gyro for our main. Fresh, wholesome, and reasonably price food only 10 minutes from our house. Nick & Nikos are absolutely fantastic, salt of the earth chaps who are an absolute joy to give our business to. Their establishment is spotless, lovely decor and did I mention that the food is to die for?

Keep up the great work, and you know you've already got two more regulars now...
